Piambong Tops is your warm invitation to take time out in the country air and disconnect from always being on. This place takes you a million miles away from the everyday grind as you journey via rocky winding roads, tunnelled by gnarly gum trees, arriving at breathtaking views of an endless sky.
The cabin is as compact, beautiful and customised as a jewellery box. Meticulously crafted, each mm of space is cleverly put to use and the contents thoughtfully curated, balancing practicality and charm - everything you need and nothing you don't, with quirky, handcrafted touches. Walls are lined with timber, fabrics are natural, and everything has its place.
We've created an outdoor playground for you to douse yourself in nature and feel the buzz of uplifting energy it charges you with. The deck is custom built for stargazing and cosy-ing up around the campfire. Play out your primal instincts: work your heart rate up chopping wood for the fire and then satisfy your hunger cooking around it. We've got a soft and cosy stash of outdoor doonas and rugs that make the deck as comfy as staying in. The stash is accessed via ladder to the loft no less. Serious cubbyhouse vibes! In the evenings you'll feel the wistful nostalgia of Australian bush poetry cast by the magical glow of lights threaded through the gum tree.
Bunker down in cabin: get into your competitive flow playing boardgames on the expansive daybed, or choose the exact right album to play on the bluetooth speaker while you watch the weather through a wall of windows. The compact kitchen is perfectly equipped with mini fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle and induction hot plate for prepping food that always tastes better in nature.
Practice presence is the luxe bathroom. Towels are big and fluffy on the skin, Sans (Ceuticals) products are a divine smelling indulgence and the rainfall showerhead literally melts muscle knots away. Envelop yourself in linen sheets on the queen sized bed, cocooned from the sounds of wildlife calling and rustling outside.

We had a lovely stay at Piambong Tops. The property was peaceful, private and surrounded by beautiful countryside, which made it perfect for a quiet weekend away. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. We especially enjoyed the outdoor area and the fire pit in the evening. The location is great if you want to switch off, while still being close enough to Mudgee for cafes, wineries and supplies. The host was easy to communicate with and the check-in process was smooth.Overall, a beautiful little escape in a quiet setting. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing country getaway.

No protected outdoor seating. It rained during our stay which prevented the outdoor from being a practical food preparation area. The key feature of this property is the view which is not fully visible from the bedroom or sitting area. The only place to enjoy the view is outside (but not when it’s raining!). The promotional photos are a bit misleading as to the visibility of the view from the cabin. The photos also show outdoor chairs which were not to be found.
