Wake to golden sunrises, enjoy the gentle sound of the sea, and the song of tūī and pīwakawaka in the surrounding trees. Free street parking is available.
The space includes a cozy living area with a TV on a swivel mount, allowing you to enjoy it from the bed or lounge area. The bathroom includes a shower and a well stocked medicine cabinet with complimentary essentials in case you’ve forgotten anything. The studio also features a closet with drawers and a hanging rod for clothing, a hairdryer so you don’t need to pack your own, plush white towels for the bathroom, grey makeup cloths, and beach towels for use with the hot spring spa pool. Complimentary cereal, milk, and tea are provided to help you settle in.
Guests have exclusive use of the private, self contained studio, located on the lower level of our home, with its own entrance, patio, and private hot spring spa pool. The outdoor space includes a high top table with two stools and two Adirondack chairs, perfect for relaxing and taking in the ocean views. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the front garden, home to a feijoa tree and frequent visits from friendly fantail birds. When in season, please feel free to help yourself to the plentiful feijoa. There is also a lemon tree beside the studio, and you’re welcome to pick a lemon for your gin and tonics.
As we live upstairs, you may occasionally hear light footsteps or everyday movement. In the evenings, we close off the area directly above the studio to ensure a peaceful night’s rest, and we are always happy to do the same during the day upon request if you’d like extra quiet for relaxing or napping.
Access to the studio is via a set of moderately steep steps or a gently winding sloped path. Free street parking is available directly out front.

I enjoyed my stay very much, thanks to the very comfy bed, great bathroom facilities, the lovely view, its close proximity to the heart of Napier CBD (the walk up and down the hill was good for me!), and the quiet neighbourhood.I appreciated the breakfast cereal, milk, ground coffee and chocolates that made it unnecessary to go shopping as soon as I arrived. There was ample parking on the street, although the renovations on the house next door sometimes made it a little tricky to park near the accommodation during the day with contractors coming and going. But that was a minor inconvenience.Overall I was very happy with my choice of accommodation.
