Dorothy was a wonderful host. She was friendly, responsive, and made the entire stay comfortable and enjoyable. The property was clean, welcoming, and exactly as described. I would gladly stay again and highly recommend Dorothy to other guests.
What a great property for a get away and also location close to Wiarton and not too far from Suable Beach. Everything was clear, clean and tidy. I would totally recommend this property.
Overall the place is beautiful. Loved the location becuase it was close enough to Sauble but far enough for peaceful nights by the fire. We just had an issue with dishwasher that leaked but other than that everything was great. Thanks Dorothy.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful log house! It was perfect for our big family, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably. The decor and little touches throughout the home gave it a warm, personal feel that made it feel like a home away from home. The location was ideal â close to both Sauble and Wiarton, making it easy to explore the area while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. Our favorite part was the expansive front yard and relaxing on the porch, taking in the quiet surroundings. It was such a peaceful retreat, and we'd happily stay again!
WowâŚwhat a home! The only thing as great as the home itselfâŚwas our host, Dorothy.Dorothy had answers to all of our questions. We really enjoyed the front porch. Itâs such a fantastic place to create lasting memories. Whether we were inside the living room or on the front porch, we couldnât help but wonder how awesome each season would be here. We, for sure, will be coming back to find out! Thanks again for everything Dorothy.
Everything was absolutely wonderful! The house was spotless, beautifully organized, and exceptionally clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained, and the cleanliness throughout the entire house was impressive. The house itself felt like a dream and was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy quality time with family.Dorothy, the host, was wonderful. I truly appreciate her patience, kindness, and cooperation with us throughout our stay. She was very helpful and made everything easy for us. We had an amazing time
We had a great stay. The property is very nice, and the lot is quite spacious. Thereâs plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. We spent our evenings around the bonfire, played some outdoor games, and appreciated having room for the kids to run around and explore safely. It was a nice setting for spending time together. The home was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Dorothy was responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with, which made things go smoothly. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, with enough to do on the property to stay entertained. Itâs a good option for families or groups of friends. We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

About the host
Hosted by Dorothy Miller
I was raised on a farm, I love my country. The home was built by my dad. He had a saw mill so all of the lumber including the logs were sawed and handled with care many times. It has a wonderful feel for me and I am humbled/honoured to be the keeper of this home. I would like to share it with anyone that has wanted to vacation in a log home in a rural setting of peace and tranquility. I am very creative, have many hobbies enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. đ
