About this property

Newly renovated Cottage Across the street from Craigville Beach.

As of April 1st Availability 2026: April 1-June 28; Jul 7- 18; Sept 5 and beyond.
Newly Renovated One Bedroom Cottage with Living Room, full kitchen, and bathroom. It is approximately 600 sf.
I have recently purchased this cottage and have renovated the Living Room with beautiful vaulted ceilings. I have opened up the kitchen with a half wall and a peninsula to create an open floorplan.
For high season I am requiring a 7 night stay with check in and check out on Saturdays. Linens are not included.
The Bedroom has a Full Bed and a Twin Bed... and the Living room has a pull out sleep sofa. Perfect for a couple or an individual looking to relax and reboot. It also would accommodate a family of three or four and even two couples (if you don't mind a pull out sofa).
The retro bathroom (circa 1950) has a full tub/shower. There is an outdoor shower as well. Speaking of outside, there is a front deck where my guests like to hang out, have a cocktail and watch the sunset. In the back yard, there is a new patio with a private grill and plenty of seating for dining, relaxing and entertaining.
The Kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher.

The Living Room has hardwood floors, 41" Flat Screen Smart TV with WIFI and plenty of comfortable seating on two sofas (one is a pull out sofa). 2 Beach Chairs included for your use.

Location, Location, Location!

This cottage has such an amazing location...300 feet from the beach. We have a family of four and it worked out great. Nelly was an amazing host! She gave us a freshly baked of homemade sourdough bread upon arrival! The area is not overcrowded like other cape beaches and perfect for small kids. It was the perfect beach vacation and we can't wait to come back next year!

Great host and great location

Nothing can beat Cape Cod house located less than 300 feet from the beautiful beach! It is relatively small, but there was everything we needed. Nelly - our host - was wonderful, fun, greeting us with her own baked bread. She was very responsive by text as well. We had a great week!

The Best Little Cottage on the Cape

This is truly a perfect place to stay if you are looking for time at the beach. Nelly, the owner, met us to check in and gifted us a homemade loaf of sour dough bread. The location is perfect, just a quick walk across the road to Craigsville Beach. The cottage was very clean and inviting. What a treasure to rent. We hope to return next year.

Perfect beach vacation

Incredible location with a great hostess

Fantastic spot, everything I needed!

Nelly’s cottage is a sweet spot by the sea. And Nelly is diligent and accommodating. I especially loved having an old fashioned deep soaking tub. Can walk to the ocean. At night I could see the Milky Way and slept with an ocean breeze. Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It’s right across the street from a terrific beach, and the owner took great care to make sure we were comfortable. Nice rental for a couple or a small family.

My name is Nelly Lyons. When I became an empty nester, I began hosting travelers at my residence in West Barnstable. It has been 9 years now and I am proud to say that I was sold out for the summers of 2019 thru 2024 with a 5 star rating thus far! I purchased Cottage 2 in 2020 and have been living there ever since. I just purchased Cottage 3 in September of 2024 and have been renovating it over the winter and spring. I would like to offer it as a vacation rental starting in June.

I was born and raised in Greenwich CT. I am number 7 of a family with 10 children. My parents bought a summer home on the Cape when we were kids and I fell in love with the lifestyle here. After college I moved to the Cape fulltime and started a business designing and wholesaling swimwear. I soon opened my first retail shop in Provincetown and at one point I had 5 shops around the Cape. Forty-five years later, I have downsized to one store (Nelly's Suits You Swimwear in Hyannis) and plan to retire completely soon. My daughter has taken over another one of my shops located in The Mashpee Commons. Hopefully I will hand the reigns to her completely one of these years.

Why they chose this property

I have always dreamed of living near the beach. Recently, I have also been dreaming of a low maintenance living situation. Low and behold, I found this cottage and plan to retire here in a few short years. In the meantime, I will share this beautiful location with you!

What makes this property unique

I am a triathlete and Craigville Beach is the perfect location for my training. Every morning you can find me either swimming, biking or running right from my front door. Or, if it is a rest day, I enjoy a leisurely beach walk.
My favorite competition is the Hyannis Triathlon which takes place right across the street twice a year: June and September.
I am hoping to rent cottage 3 to someone competing in the races!
