Chalet-style Home Perfect for Family - Heated Pool
This fantastic Chalet is set-up to entertain family and friends in a great neighborhood a mile from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Featuring a large kitchen, pool table, Foosball, video arcade, a large pool, BBQ, and putting green. All beds have top of the line memory foam mattresses. NOTE: There is an additional $175 fee per stay to heat the pool for guest stays if you want the pool heated. This fee is for each 5 nights stay. (additional night are prorated at $35 per night). Because of new additional price hikes in natural gas, the fee for heating the pool is $300 for each 4 nights stay between October 16th and March 31st. I do apologize for the cleaning fee. In the last year ALL cleaning companies have raised their rates considerably. This is a VERY large house to clean. Due to Covid, “Parties or events not allowed” - maximum of 10 people permitted on the property.

This home was perfect for our family. Five adults and a 3 year old. Plenty to do (swim, arcade game, foosball, plus). We all commented that we would’ve been happy to stay longer. Steve was a wonderful host.
We had a great stay in Simi Valley for my granddaughter‘s high school graduation. The home was the right size for the size of family we had. It was convenient to have the host on site and he was very responsive to our needs.
We had an incredible experience at this property. Won’t even need to shop around next time we want to come into town we know this is the spot. Well worth the drive to the parks! Highly reccomend
Host was great, communication awesome... house was beautiful and CLEAN! Large openair kitchen, beds were SO comfortable, & the fun video games and pool table were a hit! We loved this VRBO, and we will go back again!
My wife and I flew in from Chicago for a long weekend with the grandkids. With 4 teenagers (plus two boyfriends), this turned out to be a great spot for a family outing. Because it was only about a mile from their home, we didn’t need all the bedrooms, but there was a wealth of really fun activities: really nice pool (at a 175 pool heating upcharge), putting green, full-size pool table, excellent electric piano, plus vintage Pac-man and pin ball machines. We actually have several times when the entire family (10 of us) all together with NO ONE on their phone!! Amazing!!
We enjoyed our time here. The house was so fun! My kids loved the pool table, arcade games and the pool. Tons of space and super clean and comfortable.
Swimming, games and a well-appointed kitchen made this a nice family experience. Very nice host! The home itself is in DESPERATE need of refurnishing, redecorating and updating.Things like a peeling porcelain tub, worn out furniture, dirty bathroom doors, untidy exterior & filthy carpet would cause me to not stay again or recommend to others.

I'm sorry you felt that way. We take these comments seriously. We have set this house and property up for a high level of entertainment, comfort and family activities. Very few properties offer this level of family entertainment value!
The house very comfortably housed eight of us. The view was stellar. Quiet neighborhood, easy to locate, lots of parking. The house had everything you could need. Including a pinball machine!!!!
Awesome
Well kept place with activities to do, great neighborhood and overall great experience

The property was clean and spacious, located in a quiet neighborhood and had a lot of amenities that adults and kids could enjoy such as: a pool, pinball machine, foosball table, billiard pool table, outdoor grill, and miniature golf putting green. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking supplies needed and also a washer/dryer was convenient to have. Host was very friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
We came for our daughters wedding at The Vineyards and we were not disappointed. From the swimming pool, the grill, the location, the games at the property, the pool table, the big g kitchen, and even the bedrooms…we couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable house. The house and everything it had to offer just added to the wonderful wedding weekend we had. I would definitely recommend and rent this house again.
We were in town for a wedding and needed a place for 4 adults and 2 preteens to spend a week without being on top of each other. This property had plenty of space for everyone to gather together, or find a quiet secluded spot for reading or a nap. The pool was heated and comfortable, spent a lot of time floating around. Kitchen was well equipped and the whole house was spotless.
The property owner was polite and helpful, and despite being on property during our stay, respected our privacy.
We rented this property for our family, all of us from across the country. The owner was very courteous and I believe we could have contacted him for any concern that we could have had. The location is wonderful with grocery, restaurants and quick access to the freeway. The house is spacious and well equipped( washer, dryer, etc.) the mattresses and linens on every bed were some of the best we have ever had; very much appreciated. This is a very comfortable home for a family and the outside area is nice as well.

Family Weekend
We were looking for a house for the weekend to stay as we were traveling with 2 infants under the age of 2 with our family. The house is large, lots of stairs, the furniture is old and used up. The yard had no upkeep, lots of spiders that entered the house, not good with 2 infants.
The owner lives on property, separate entrance, but did not tell us until time to check in, although, we never saw him and he did respond quickly to my questions.

We appreciate our guest's feedback. It helps when guests book our home for them to read the listing in full. It clearly states that the host lives in a completely separate unit on site. Our guest have total privacy in the house and backyard. It also clearly states that the house does have stairs and elevation changes.
It can be a challenge when guests leave doors open and food out. During the hot summer months, spiders can come in.
We have had the property sprayed for insects and the issue is under control.
Perfect home for our family reunion celebrating mom’s 90th birthday. Neighborhood was amazing. A short walk to the hike up to the cross ( a must do). The children enjoyed the pool and games. I was a little disappointed that the heater on the pool would go off at a certain time so when I got up for my early morning swim or a evening dip, the pool was very cold, but it warmed up shortly mid morning. The property manager, Steve allowed us to have extra people for the day for Family reunion to celebrate mom‘s birthday. He lives on property but we never saw him. TVs are in main area of home but not in bedrooms. He put a TV in the Master to accommodate our request for the stay. Thank you Steve.
3 generations enjoyed our stay while celebrating my daughter's college graduation. We were aged 8-83 and there was something for everyone. The younger ones loved the pool, the high school/college kids loved the hike a block away, pool table and foosball, we adults loved the convenience and the great kitchen, and the older folks enjoyed the views over the valley, watching the kids play in the pool and the proximity to the Reagan library.
While the house has seen some action and there are a few minor issues, I'd prefer that to an overly precious place where I'd worry about the kids wrecking something. It was very comfortable for us and suited our needs well.
The on-site host was helpful and attentive when we needed it, otherwise we never saw him.
Kitchen had all that we needed. Host was responsive and helpful, but lives onsite (I wasn’t aware of this but not sure if the listing mentioned it). Furniture very outdated. Second king bed room was cramped and no access to closet (it was locked).
Pool was a highlight. 2 tables in backyard to sit at for our family of 8. Lots of ants in backyard and lots of pretty foliage but very overgrown and needs trimming (front and back). Games (pool table, sit down video game table, pool table, foos ball) in home were a nice touch.
Home had what we needed, but we will look for another home next stay.

Jessica and her family were terrific guests. In response, our listing clearly states that the hose lives in a completely separate apartment on site. The guests have complete privacy in the house and backyard. The furniture is older but extremely comfortable and functional. We have booked the home more than 120 times and this has never been an issue.
During a couple of hot summer months we did have some ant issues, manly because the house was booked well in advance every week for 15 weeks. We did not want to spray insecticides right before guests checked in. This issue has been completely resolved.
PLEASE read all of our guests reviews!
We were a group of mothers and daughters (ages 14-17) traveling together for a horseback riding clinic in Moorpark. The home’s location was IDEAL! We also had five trucks to park each night and the neighborhood provided ample parking and space for our big vehicles which was amazing and not always assumed when we travel! Steve, the on-site co-host, met us at check-in to have us test the access, make sure we found all the home instructions, and answered questions about the home and amenities. We did not opt to heat the pool but the kids still used it each evening for a quick cool-down. The home allowed us moms to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and was well appointed with all the necessary utensils, appliances, and tools!! The linens were soft and comfortable! There were plenty of towels for the pool use and for each restroom. There were ceiling fans in each room which helped keep us cool at night. We used the air condition (which worked well) but had been told at check-in that it also cooled the co-hosts’ attached apartment so we felt like we needed to be very careful not to make it too cool, which meant that at night the rooms did get a bit warm. There were ants in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom but we found Raid under the kitchen sink and solved that problem very quickly. This is not impact our stay, but the curb appeal at arrival was a little misleading as the front yard is quite overgrown and unkept with weeds. The house itself…awesome!!
Det var en fint hus med en god beliggenhed.
Møblerne er dog meget slidte.
Der var god dialog med værten, som var sød og hjælpsom. Jeg ville dog ønske at han ringede på, når han kom besøg og ikke kom snigende af bagvejen
Great place for kids! We had 3 kids with us (ages 10,13 and 14). They loved playing all the games and swimming in the heated pool. There was a great hill park for hiking- just a 5 minute walk away. It had a 738 foot elevation and was not too difficult- even for a senior like me. It took about 30 minutes to climb the hill to the top. The Reagan Library was only 5-10 minutes away and was enjoyable- even for a liberal like me!
The pictures here don’t do the property justice! It’s a very comfortable home and the pool was great! All the amenities were perfect and steve was a perfect host. I was sceptical at first realizing he lives on the property in a totally separate quarter, I thought it was gonna be awkward but it wasn’t at all. He was great and we never even saw him! It felt very private and my family had a blast for my sons wedding in Camarillo! Thanks steve for being a great host!
