**December-April bookings**WINTER WEATHER** We do not cancel or move reservations due to weather conditions outside of the standard 30-day policy. This includes "there's not enough snow or there's too much snow" - Thanks for your understanding. While making snowy memories in Flagstaff, please keep in mind that winter travel conditions can at times be treacherous in Northern Arizona. Our neighborhood is hilly and when there is snow, a 4WD/AWD vehicle or chains will be needed. We do have snow removal service at our listing, however, during big snowstorms they often aren't able to come clear the driveway and sidewalks until after the snow has finished falling and/or the roads into the neighborhood are plowed. We have snow shovels and ice melt in the garage for guests to use and we do our best to keep the driveway and walkways free of ice. We may not be able to guarantee a clear driveway and walkway during a heavy snowstorm as the county plows will come through the neighborhood on a random schedule. Please make sure to bring appropriate gloves, coats and vehicles for your winter adventures. We advise keeping an eye on the weather as your trip approaches. If Flagstaff is expecting a snowstorm during your visit, come prepared with plenty of provisions so you can stay in and enjoy the snowfall. We also advise against planning on traveling at night or early morning during heavy snowfall.

Perfect location from town! Very cozy and had everything we needed. Room for everyone. Beds were comfy. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day!
We loved our stay. The house is very nice and has everything you need for a great stay. It's in a quiet pretty spot. We loved the yard and hot tub. It was also perfect for our dog. The hosts are great and very accommodating. It was perfect!
If I could give this place 100 stars I would. The house and property were so well maintained, exactly as described, well stocked, and welcoming. We felt super cozy here. The owners were also awesome. Super responsive and flexible. We have stayed at dozens of vacation rentals, and this has been our favorite by far!
This place is fabulous! Very dog friendly indeed! All the amenities are perfect & it is just the right distance away from Flagstaff & has that great mountain feel. Bob & Rachel are wonderful hosts & their communication response was very fast. If we come back to Flagstaff this will be the place for us to stay! Highly recommend!
Incredibly accommodating. Second time staying here and we’ll keep coming back. Beautiful home in a quiet part of town just 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff. Kids and dog loved staying here!
Wonderful experience throughout! Friendly, welcoming, and responsive communication. House was well-stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of towels, bedding, and cookware to host our family Thanksgiving. Great location, cozy and comfortable home, and the yard/hot tub were enjoyed by the kids, dog, and adults :)
We really loved our stay! Everything about the house was wonderful...from the hot tub, to the fenced back and front yards...just awesome! Purrfect for our dogs! Comfy bed, great A/C, nice cozy kitchen, soaking tub...just top notch. Thank you Bob and Rachel for allowing us to share your home.
My family and I really enjoyed our time together at this house ! It had everything you need to accommodate your stay ! Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend!
Our second visit. We brought our dog and the kids. Nice secured yards both front and back. Great location, cell reception was a little tough but otherwise a great stay! Very clean and all the amenities.
It was our big family and there was everything you could imagine there to have fun when not out. Beautiful home with a wonderful back yard. Little things throughout the house make it cozy and welcoming. I will stay here again.
Very clean and comfortable home in a quiet setting; we really enjoyed our stay in your well maintained home while in Flagstaff to enjoy our grandson's graduation from NAU. Perfect location backed up to Natural Forest. We would highly recommend this vacation rental! Thank you!
This was our second time staying in this home and it was just as wonderful as the first. The location is convenient to Flagstaff, but also far enough out of town to have a beautiful view of the night sky. We love that it is a dog friendly place and the yard and dog area is perfect for our pup. The house is spotless and has everything you need for a great stay. We're looking forward to returning in the future!
What a gem! Perfect place for dogs, so peacefull, quiet, with everything provided. Beautiful view from backyard. Extremely comfortable and clean. Marked for return visit!
Wonderful amenities for inside the home and outside activities. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. Watching the stars at night in the hot tub was the perfect way to end each evening. Easy check in/out process and timely communication with host. Would highly recommend for friends, family, or those that have pets.
We went for Father’s Day weekend with my wife’s family. We have twin toddlers also. They loved the backyard and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Host was great communicator and even let us check in early. Had a great time walking national forest and being 10 min from flagstaff. Would stay here again
We had the most relaxing weekend in flagstaff at this rental. We took both our large breed dogs and they pet area was amazing for them! We left to get dinner and had no concerns about our dogs getting out inside the house not getting out of the backyard. We can’t wait to come back in the winter!
This was a perfect spot for our family of 4 with a 4-month old and 3-year old. There was plenty of room for the kids to explore and my son loved the backyard. We aren't able to eat out too much and the kitchen worked great for meals at home. The property was clean and the owners were very communicative. The location was very centralized with just about every environment within a two our drive. We would absolutely book this destination again.
Tons of space, great yard and hot tub! Hosts were very kind and communicative and understood a small issue we had that didn’t impact our stay! Located about 15 min south of flagstaff, but we didn’t mind the quick drive in. Sheets were so soft and the stocked pantry and kitchen was helpful! They even left a small welcome gift. Perfect hosts. Thank you! .
We’ve stayed in several “dog friendly” rentals with our 70 pound dog and I’d describe some of them as “dog tolerant” at best, but this place was truly dog friendly! There are a nice sized fully enclosed back and front yards to play in, a doggie door and blankets to put in the furniture. Aside from being dog friendly, the house is comfortable, clean, well stocked for cooking and in a quiet neighborhood less than 20 mins from downtown Flagstaff. The location is ideal for day trips to Sedona, the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff, as well as some interesting small towns in the area. We loved star gazing from the hot tub (very clean!) and grilling in the back yard. The furniture was also very comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this property!
This was the perfect mountain escape. The house fit our groups needs. There were two couples and three young children. It was so nice to have a designated kids room so the adults could relax in the evenings. The fenced front yard and backyard were great to let the kids play and still be safe. The home was very clean and the hosts were easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again.

Sally and her family were wonderful guests! Very respectful, they are welcome back anytime!
Absolutely loved this property and didn’t want to leave. It was perfect for us two and our two dogs. Huge and private backyard in a great neighborhood. The master bedroom and bathroom is humongous! It is supplied with everything you need and communication with Host was fast and easy. Just know that the house “settles.” Maybe because outdoor temps got to freezing after a 65 day but there was creaking in the middle of the night that scared us at first, but it IS Halloween season;) Ha, it wasn’t too drastic. We realized what it was and got used to it. Would definitely stay here again and again. Thanks Bob and Rachel.
The attention to detail in creating a home away from home was evident in every space. Everything you could need for exploring the area was provided. The sweet gifts from local shops to flaura and fauna guides to hiking maps were so appreciated! Even the selection of local reads for down time were thought out. The dog space with beds and toys and a doggy door even made the dog feel welcome. Hot tub was great!

About the host
Hosted by Bob & Rachel
Hi there! We’re Rachel and Bob, a couple from Phoenix, Arizona. When we travel, we love to blend work with a bit of adventure. We also host a rental property in the beautiful mountain area of Flagstaff, Northern Arizona. We can’t wait to share our passion for this stunning region with you!
Why they chose this property
When the 2020 quarantine led us to cancel our wedding, we embraced the moment by exchanging virtual vows and embarking on a "minimoon" to the Mountainaire area. We instantly fell in love with its charm. We were fortunate to purchase our home from a local firefighter and his family, who had poured their heart and soul into it. They were ready to relocate to Phoenix, and it truly felt like the perfect match for both families!
What makes this property unique
Mountainaire offers the ideal balance of proximity to downtown Flagstaff and the tranquility of the high country. It’s a peaceful family neighborhood, so we kindly ask that you respect the serene atmosphere. As you arrive, you’ll find a charming local grocery store for your essentials and a nearby tavern, perfect for enjoying a round of wings and beer. It’s the best of both worlds!
