Very clean. Nicely furnished. Beds are very comfy. Fans in every room! Well stocked kitchen. Warm pool and spacious lanai. Property is on a canal and one house away from open water. Television is satellite, which we struggled with.

LOVED this place!!!

My Husband, myself, Brother and Sister-in-law had an awesome relaxing vacation in this beautiful spacious house. Most of our time was spent in the wonderful lanai/pool area by choice. But everything,...the furnishings, setting, neighbors, area was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, are grateful and would love to visit again!

Great extended stay

We rented for six weeks as part of our annual winter get away. This house is immaculately clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is tucked away in Gulf Cove on the water and a short drive to many shopping and dinning options. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The host was very responsive and we had no problems during our time there.

Our review

The house was super comfortable and spacious and we loved the open air to poolside. The kitchen was well appointed and large. The beds were very comfortable and showers were super with good pressure and lots of hot water. The neighborhood was quiet as we like. The owners were very responsive to our questions.

Gulf Cove

We enjoyed our stay at Golf Cove. The relative proximity to beaches was great and we really enjoyed the pool with the views of the canal and river. The kitchen was very well appointed. Some grounds need attention as do the televisions. ((bedroom one doesn’t work and main one , no cable) Overall, a very good place to stay and holiday.

The online pictures of the house do not do it justice. The home is spacious, clean well equipped, and very comfortable. The location is residential which is lovely for walks and guaranteed a peaceful quiet stay. Located on a canal the views from he lanai were lovely and tropical. The river was also nearby and the sunrises were spectacular. Close enough to shopping and beaches, very easy to access everything needed for a great vacation. Local house manager was excellent to work with and the process of accessing the house was simple and straightforward. We really appreciated the comfortable beds, not something you find in all rental locations. Also had excellent wifi. Only recommendation we would make would be the tv package. We appreciated the kids channels, but there was limited choice of other channels. Not a big deal but would have appreciated cnn or bbc news. Highly recommended, didn't want to leave

The host said there was minimal damage from the hurricane. Upon arrival there was water damage all inside the home. The ceiling was on the floor from the amount of water damage. The toilet paper was soaking wet, there was dirt and debris throughout all the window ledgers from dried up water, in addition to no power upon arrival. The host doesn't live in the country and the person managing for the host was nearly impossible to get in touch with. Since I had an a skilled worker there, they kept trying to get him to buy materials to fix the house while residing there. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL, IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We apologized for the damages which was not reported from our housecaretaker to us. Also we gave a discount for that. We only asked Christine if they are able to help us with the damages because there was a skilled worker in the house. Sorry for asking, but we thought this is their Business and other firms are open to give an estimate i somebody ask.... Fully clear that we would pay for that. Once Christine said that the worker has no time for any other work during his stay this was fully understandable. Seems that Christine missunderstoods this whole situation. It's sad to get such a frustratet review.

Very nice place. Extremely peaceful, quiet, friendly neighbors. Plenty of room in this spacious house,very clean, tons of kitchen gadgets in this gourmet kitchen. Loved the canal behind this house...but it was way easier to fish at the end of the street as the yard steeply dips towards the canal and there really is not a way to sit out there and fish. Do not let this bother you if you fish ...there is a nice place to sit at the end of the street ...which is one house away to sit by the Myakka river. The beds were comfortable...plenty of pillows and blankets. The pool is wonderful even though we brought the cold weather with us. The only bar b que is an electric one which we prefer gas but no big deal.Great internet ....tv is lacking stations ...must be basic cable....but your on vacation...lol i had my computer with me so had netflix. The only negative i had and its not a big deal.....my problem not home owners...is I have trouble with my legs and the couch is really cushy and dated so i had to have my hubby pull me up from couch. my other complaint is...IT'S ALREADY RENTED FOR NEXT YEAR. When i saw how nice it was i looked on line to book it for 2020....Bummer rented. :-( Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home

we paid for a heated pool. emailed owner a week before are arrival & he said the pool will be heated & the grill cleaned . when we got there the pool heater wasn"t working, we called the care taker as instructed on check-in information. he said he knew the pool heater wasn"t working he told the owner before are arrival so both of them lied to us before we got there. care taker said he can"t do anything the owner lives in switzerland and won"t come to fix anything wrong in the house. five days later a pool person came over and told us the pool needs a new heater. also paid for cleaning when we arrived there was dead cockroaches all around inside the house. worst of all dog hairs in are beds and on the sofas, stains on all the carpets. we knew ahead of time instructions are in german we thought that would be changed by now but no so you don"t now when to put the garbage out. the tv is direct tv only some channels. we wanted to use the double oven for are thanksgiving cooking but you aren"t allowed to use the bottom oven. sheets and towels are stained,ripped and not matching. many dishes chipped. very rusty electric grill and outside furniture. missing light bulbs around the house and hall smoke detector battery. large crack in ceiling of living room/ din. room area. in the entryway large plant dusty as are all the ceiling fans, not good for my sons allergies. we emailed owner and he said he would refund are money for the pool not heated. so far not received anything yet.

The pool heater was broken just before arriving of the guests and our care taker tries to fix it. This can happen everytime and sorry for that. We allready send you the refund. The repair was not so easy to setup in this short and pandemic time. For next nice and friendly guests like we usually had in the past a new heater will be installed. With all other points from this frustrated renters i disagree and i wish them a relaxing christmas time.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a very beautiful home.

We have stayed at this property for two years and had verbal commitment accepted by the tenant for the third year. We call Home Away to make our payment so that we can be sure that we totally understand the process because the emails come to us in German. After our verbal commitment for the third year, we received notification for payment via email in German. We noticed that the tenant had raised the rent and shortened the stay. At the time of verbal agreement, there was no mention of a price increase or a change in the length of stay. We emailed him just to clarify and he said that Home Away had invoked an addition fee, but he did adjust the length of stay to the same as previous years. We wished he had been forthcoming at the time of verbal agreement; however, this did not deter us from wanting to stay the third year, it was just a point of clarification. We were in the middle of our second year at this location and got an email very early one morning that the first half of our rent for the third year was due by 10 am that day. The owner gave us the option of either paying Home Away or paying cash to the house sitter. I emailed him immediately to explain that we were leaving on a side trip that day for two days and would not have access to phone Home Away, email Home Away payment or pay cash as we were on a ferry in the ocean and had no cell or internet access. He put us in an unreasonable position. We asked for a two-day extension to get back to the mainland. He denied the extension and said he hoped we would understand. Understand what; he was breaking his verbal agreement? We told him that we did not understand and never received another communication from him. The suggestion to pay cash to the house sitter was inappropriate and was bypassing Home Away procedure. We know that he had not contacted his house sitter concerning this because we received an email from her thanking us for leaving the house in very good condition and was looking forward to seeing us next year. From our very first stay, this tenant has pressured us for payment earlier and earlier. We have always paid timely. We have always left the home in better condition that it was upon our arrival.

We had a fabulous stay at this property. The house had everything we needed. It is well stocked with day to day essentials. The pool area was great. We loved the views of the water in the back and the river from the front. The bikes at this property were great. We rode around the neighborhood looking at the beautiful views. I think there was a new property manager there and it was hard to contact him sometimes. The owner was very helpful. We had a problem with the air conditioner, which Tommy got fixed very quickly. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

First 2 weeks of February.

Place was nice. Its a good hour drive from Fort Myers airport (RSW) If you are going to Port Charlotte area you are better off flying into Puento Guorda. Enjoyed the pool. A great abundance of towels. Some of the pool chairs and dining room Chairs needed repair. The site said it had fishing poles but what they didn't tell you was there were no reels or fishing line on them! Nicely equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Master bedroom is huge! All I all a good place to stay.

Beautiful views, comfortable home

We very much enjoyed our month at this home. The home is well provisioned with everything needed and there were many empty closets, drawers and areas to store clothing, groceries and our own kitchen items. The heated pool and lanai are very comfortable with lovely views in a very quiet and friendly neighborhood. Very little traffic made walking and biking very pleasant. One note: the dishwasher leaked and did not clean very well so we did not use it after one time. This was not a big deal for us. Caretaker is aware and hopefully it will be replaced/repaired soon. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Very comfortable home for five adults. Lots of space! We enjoyed the pool and the views of the canal and fireworks from the river's bay. TV and cable instructions were not too helpful, but we had lots to keep us busy. Overall, an awesome stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Pool was wonderful. Location was beautiful. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to stay in this lovely home! We loved coming back from the beach to relax and unwind. Everything we needed was supplied. We enjoyed sitting out by the screened in pool and watching the birds. Would stay here again
