About this property
Riverfront Cottage 5 Minutes from Palisades Tahoe 10 minutes to Lake Tahoe
Charming riverfront cottage that offers adventures for all seasons, whether it's hitting the slopes of Squaw Valley or heading to the crystal blue waters of Lake Tahoe -- both are only 10 minutes away! Nestled among the trees, with the river rushing by, this cottage lends an atmosphere of a remote getaway, while being close to it all.
This cottage offers 2 bedrooms, with a jack and jill full bathroom (w/ shower) in between. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen sofa bed. Each bedroom has its own, separate entrance for privacy. The cottage was updated November 2022, with new floors, bed and furniture.
Please note there is NO KITCHEN, but coffee maker, mini fridge (with freezer), and microwave are provided. Plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware are also provided for your convenience. Celebrating a special event? Champagne glasses and corkscrew at the ready!
WE HAVE WIFI!!! For the most part, WIFI is reliable. Please just keep in mind that it may be finicky dependent upon weather conditions. There is a sitting area in the 2nd bedroom that works great as a workspace, if needed.
Guest access
Guests will access the home via Lockbox. Guest parking is limited to 2 vehicles. It should also be noted that you share a driveway with another house so please be respectful and do not block their access.
The cottage is EASILY ACCESSIBLE DURING SNOW SEASON!!! It is directly across the Truckee River from Highway 89 – which gets top priority with the snowplows. During snow season, our entire street (and driveway) is plowed first thing each morning – it is plowed by a resident of our street, so no waiting for the snowplow to arrive! You'll be the first to hit the slopes!
Other things to note
Just up the road from our cottage is the Truckee River Bike Path to Tahoe City and Squaw Valley Village. The Village has wonderful shops and delicious restaurants.
Our cottage is a skiing and snowboarding dream, we are located 5 minutes from Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Alpine Meadows only 10 minutes away. During snow season, our entire street is plowed first thing each morning – it is plowed by a resident of our street, so no waiting for the snowplow to arrive! You'll be the first to hit the slopes!
The North Tahoe Area has so much to offer in terms of hiking, biking, fishing, golf and delicious restaurants. All of which are easily within reach from this location!
In keeping with the quiet tranquility of this setting, we ask that guests be respectful of neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Parties and large gatherings are not allowed.

Hello and Welcome!
A little bit about us, we are life long Bay Area natives growing up across the street from each other in Oakland, CA. In the Bay Area we love hiking through Redwood Park in the Oakland Hills, wandering along the Embarcadero in SF, and exploring new restaurants in Berkeley. We are avid travelers with some of our favorite adventures being hiking the alps in Germany, crawling through the pyramids in Egypt, and taking a hot air balloon trip over the fairy chimneys in Turkey.
While we love the pace and the culture of the Bay Area, Squaw Valley is our oasis outside of the city. We love being able to share our little bit of paradise with you. We enjoy getting the day started with a pastry and coffee from Tahoe House Bakery, biking from the cottage down the Truckee River, Sunday Brunch at Sunnyside Restaurant on Lake Tahoe, and going to Little Truckee Ice Creamery on Donner Lake.
We hope that you enjoy your stay!
