Wonderful house in a lovely lake community. We were there off-season and it was quiet and felt secluded. The family room was very comfortable with a great jukebox!
The house is equipped with everything, the host was very friendly and prompt to answer any questions. If you have small children, they have books and toys that will keep the little ones entertained. Very relaxing location and beautiful lake. Thank you!
This location was very serene and peaceful to stay at, very cozy and welcoming and away from any kind of city which was amazing for us. Very refreshing vacation!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cat's house. It had great space, lots of books and some toys to keep our kids busy and was very comfortable. Would love to try it during the summer some time. We highly recommend staying here for any family with kids.
My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. There were all the amenities and even books and toys for the two children staying with us. Communication was excellent with owner. Wish we stayed longer!! Would definitely come back!!
The place gave us just what we needed in room for our family to join us and plenty of space to spread out for conversations. It is within walking distance to a beautiful pond. The hostess was very accommodating, and her communication was great. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
What a great home! The home was beautiful, clean and stocked with everything you would need, and many things that you wouldn't really think of like games, books, kitchen staple items. Our party was 9 adults allin town to attend a wedding in a nearby town. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
We had a party of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. Had plenty of room, house was stocked with everything imaginable from beach chairs to Kayaks. We were able to enjoy the lakes around the property. Quiet community with great walking trails.
Roomy, clean and comfortable home in a Lake Community. We wanted a family vacation where we could enjoy time together while keeping the kids off tech devices. Kayak and a paddle board was provided from the host. The kids enjoyed fishing, boating and swimming on the lake which was in walking distance from the home. Home was well supplied with items to assist with dinner prep, towels and games. Plenty of hiking trail in the Community and neighboring towns. We would happily stay here again.
Our hostess Cat answered all of our questions quickly and cheerfully. Most notably she answered us at 6:30 on a Sunday morning when we ran into an issue. The cabin fit our group of eight very well. We walked to the pond at the end of the lane and enjoyed a peaceful hour of reading The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay.
The dining area and living room were actually larger than I’d anticipated from the photos. There were lots of children’s books there, for our grandchildren to read. The kids could watch a movie in the evening on one of the streaming channels.
The screened porch was great, too.
It worked out ok for all 10 of us.
This is our third time staying at this property and has been just as amazing as the past two times!
Our family consists of my parents, my wife and I, and our three kids. This spot is excellent for larger groups, as we were able to easily divide up the rooms!
A few special shout outs:
•Cat is amazing with communication. She generally gets back to us sooner than we send the message!
•There are so many toys that our kids can play with in the house--never a requirement, but always appreciated!
•I've always been a huge fan of the juke box. Very sad that the bottom row of numbers wasn't working, but we used it every morning while making breakfast!
Strongly recommend!
We loved that we could walk 1/2 a block to a lake or drive 5 minutes to a bigger lake where the kayaks were stored.
Both lakes have a dock we swam to and sandy beaches for making castles.
The house itself had a large screened porch where we ate our meals b/c we were doing a 1000 piece puzzle on the big dining room table.
The large den was air conditioned for the muggy nights.
The house has everything known to man for the beach and more than I have at home for the kitchen.
The only warning: bring food to start. The nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away.
And the owner, Cat, is incredibly nice!
We loved the home. The little balcony overlooking the dining area fascinated the twin nearly three year olds, Their room had many books and toys for all age children. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to bake lasagna. We liked the secluded feeling the wooded lot offered .
We were unable to turn on the light and fan in the dining area … couldn’t see instructions in the notebook for the fan or light. If the weather had been better we would have loved playing games on the large porch.
The wood stove was very appreciated. On Friday when we arrived the first thing we did was start a fire!
Thank you for the pleasant comfortable accommodations. We all agree 5 stars!
The house is located on a gravel road in a private lake community. It is in a beautiful tree canopy with space between you and neighbors. It was a peaceful and chill stay which is exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking with a large table for dining that fits 8 easily. Bathrooms were very clean. The big lake was picturesque with kayaks stored right at the dock. Very convenient! The listing was very true to reality with excellent communication from the owner. One thing to note. There is only a dryer in the house. Washing must be done in a laundry facility that is shared in the community. It was a great opportunity to teach our teenagers how to use a laundromat when they hopefully move out in a few years, fingers crossed!
