Beautiful Aix en Provence

Although the weather could have been better we had a wonderful stay in Aix. Our hosts Elizabeth and Jean could not have been more friendly and helpful and the apartment was very comfortable with excellent amenities.

Lovely apartment within walking distance of most everything and very close to bus stops as well. The owner met us upon arrival, showed us how everything worked, showed us the nearby places to get anything we might need during our stay, and the delicious bakery nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed the very clean, well-equipped, comfortable, charming apartment! Aix is a fascinating city with a rich history, and this is the perfect place to stay for a visit!

Quiet convenient small apartment

This small apartment (a bed for 2 adults and a sofa bed for kids) is in a safe, quiet, upscale neighborhood about a 15 minute walk from the Cours Mirabeau. A bakery and two small grocers are nearby. 2 small negatives: the sofa bed is bumpy to sleep on and the shower door doesn't stop water from leaking into the bathroom floor. Roomy enough for 2 but not ideal for active small kids.

Lovely apartment, perfect location

This apartment is very comfortable, spacious and a perfect place for an extended stay. The neighborhood is generally quiet with a a gourmet food shop, an amazing boulangerie, and even a pizza place within a block. It is a short walk to the center of Aix which keeps it clean and quiet but gives you access to all the things you came here for. The owners are extremely responsive and took care of the few minor things I needed right away. They also made changes I suggested to improve future stays. And they are lovely people. Take note that the American classification of 2 bathrooms means something different - in this case 2 bathrooms means that the toilet is in a separate room from the shower and sink. Also, convenient, onsite parking may work for a VERY small car in back but my small rental car needed to be parked a ten minute walk away. A truly lovely place to stay!

Avenue Saint Jerome Apartment - Aix July 2024

VRBO's booking process was slick and clear, with the ability to foster good communication between me, as booker, and the owner/host of the property, enabling me to pose questions and receive answers about the apartment's equipment and facilities, and about the neighbourhood. Elisabeth & Jean Habert, the owners, were amazing from answering questions via the "Message the Owner/Host" communication link to Elisabeth meeting us at the apartment last Thursday, 4th July when we arrived when she took so much time in showing us how different facilities/equipment in the apartment worked, and then walking us around the neighbourhood pointing out bus stops, good local shops i.e. boulangerie and grocery stores, to suggesting places to visit and providing useful literature for our stay i.e. bus timetables and a map of Aix. The apartment was lovely - well maintained and containing all items that you would need for a short stay, as well as being in an excellent location i.e less than 10 minutes' walk from the old quarter of Aix and city centre and within 5-10 mins' walk of superb boulangeries, fromageries, bars, restaurants, delicatessens and supermarkets, providing flexibility in terms of either buying ingredients for cooking at the apartment or eating out.

Geringe Entfernung zur Altstadt

Die Wohnung ist groß genug für 2 Personen mit von der Dusche getrenntem WC, komfortabel! Vernünftige, aber nicht übermäßig schicke Ausstattung. Die Räume liegen nach hinten heraus und sind dadurch leise. Größtes Manko ist der fehlende Parkplatz. Das Parken in der Umgebung ist schwierig und kostet tagsüber Geld. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und nett. Sie könen zu allem in Aix Auskunft geben.

Lorsque nous avons présenté l'appartement à votre fille ,,en lui indiquant que seule la rue qui passe devant l'immeuble est horodatée,mais tout le quartier juste derrière est en stationnement gratuit quelque soit la durée .c'est le seul quartier de la ville gratuit car c'est le quartier étudiant.. Elle a sans doute oublié de vous le transmettre..Nous regrettons pour vous cet oublie qui a entrainé un désagrément pour votre séjour. Bien cordialement Elisabeth et Jean

Der perfekte Ort für einen Urlaub in Aix-en-Provence

Uitstekende accomodatie

L'accueil a été chaleureux, j'ai reçu beaucoup d'explications, il y avait un petit cadeau prêt. L'appartement est idéalement situé, à 10 minutes à peine à pied de la gare, du Cours Maribeau et du centre-ville. Et pourtant c'est très calme, à l'arrière du bâtiment. Les arbres, la verdure, donnaient calme et ombre sur le balcon et discrétion dans l'appartement. Très calme : j'ai bien dormi ! La climatisation est bonne, tout comme la salle de bain et la cuisine. Si je veux rester à Aix à l'avenir ce sera encore là !
