We stayed here with our large family (8 people total) and had a great time. Plenty of space for everyone, and the home was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Kim, the host, was very responsive to our questions.Location was also great as we were between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear and had easy access to both. Thank you!
We had a group of friends and family in town to attend my nephew's wedding. The space was perfect for us as we had enough room for everyone including bathrooms. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking. Our host Kim was very responsive and assisted with a few questions right away. Great spot for large group.
The owner calls it "Safe Haven"- truly feels like a welcoming home. So much space for groups, or large family: enough spaces for anyone who wants alone time in nature. Property backs to the Forest and is the last house on the street, amazing parking. We were so comfortable the entire trip
Very welcoming because it's a homey setting. The property is just amazing! Everything was available so that our Thanksgiving dinner felt like a true holiday!
Besides the owner being very helpful with communication even before we got there, she was still answering questions we had once we got there. Very clean with beautiful views. My family enjoyed themselves!
The house is so spacious - lots of room for everyone to find their place Cozy .. the heating works great we were very comfortable. It is well stocked with pans, cooking spices, coffee supplies, paper goods, etc. We enjoyed the location as we had no one very close to us and the property has trails and walking paths. The owner was very responsive to our needs. We had a great time !!
This was our families 8th stay at the cabin!! And we are already planning for the 9th!! If you are a family with kids you will appreciate not having to go anywhere for snow play, hiking, sledding and so much more! This yearly trip is a tradition for our family. We LOVE the cabin and how attentive Kim is in making sure we are enjoying ourselves.
The owner got back to me right away with any questions. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with A coffee bar and all the kitchen items we needed. The yard is super fun with lots of areas to explore and fun things for kids to do, like a little tiny Zipline, a pond, a teepee. And we loved the big family area that had plenty of room for all of us to visit. Perfect!
What a fantastic house and property. Kids and adults had a great time and Kim the owner was very responsive throughout the entire process. The email with the door codes didn’t send like it was automated to do and Kim replied instantly to get it for us. My family cannot wait to get back up there. 2.5 acres with the National Forest as you back yard for the weekend was the change of pace my family needed.
This home was an absolute delight - the owner is amazing. Extremely prompt to respond to messages
I cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was. House was clean and well equipped. The kitchen bathrooms had everything needed. It’s a beautiful home.... tons of space! My fav was the game room. I would highly recommend this safe haven - that is exactly what it is. A true blessing
Our overall experience was amazing going to the town 4 min away, close to the lake with beautiful community, and such open space for our large family was what we needed. We got to relax and enjoy multiple small communities around the area, restaurants, pubs, and bakeries.
The only thing that could of been better a good power wash outside tables and patio/porch since the outside was the reason why we loved this place.
But again this place was perfect for our family. Thank you for leanding us your home for a weekend.
Took a team up for a competition. Lots of space to stretch out and cabin was very clean and nice. Plenty of utensils and plates. We didn’t get to enjoy most of the amenities on property but lots to do there without even leaving the cabin. Owners were great and responsive
We had a mindfulness retreat here and it was amazing for it. There was plenty of space to gather together and have our own space in nature. Beautiful home, would love to have another reunion here.
The house was great and perfect for large groups. There were plenty of beds and restrooms to accommodate our group. I was worried reading some of the reviews about cleanliness but the house was clean when we arrived. The outdoor area is the best part of the house. There were plenty of activities for the kids and a lot of space for snow play and sledding. We also enjoyed the space to walk around and take in the outdoors. Kim was also very friendly and easy to communicate with. I can’t wait to come back.
My group of friends had a wonderful time staying at this large property over the weekend. Communication with the property manager was perfect as they were always prompt to reply and helpful. The only concerns we had were that the bed-count was a little confusing in the listing and that we were told to bring our own bedding well after booking, but otherwise, we were incredibly happy with our stay (also some of the puzzles are missing pieces - could do with a refresh) and felt very cozy and safe. The town was beautiful and the people were friendly! The property was gorgeous and there was plenty of room for outdoor recreation. We would be happy to recommend this piece of property to anyone looking for a place to stay, if only to, again, have the pleasure of working with Kim, who was amazing to communicate with throughout.
We all had a great experience on the property and enjoyed our time there very much. Unfortunately the house wasn’t as clean as we’d hoped (the floors mainly) and we did have to pick up some trash around the property (we’ve since been told it was from the bears) We had a mix up with the linen (new covid rules) and didn’t see we had to bring our own so that was tricky.. but we made do with some blankets from target. All in all it was a great stay, however when it came to checking out we received some harsh criticism around things we were not responsible for, which was quite upsetting. We spent a long time cleaning the kitchen and ensuring the house was left better than when we arrived, so it was disappointing to hear that feedback. It is a beautiful property and perfect if you want to reconnect with nature. Our group was a totally sober and spiritual one, so it was perfect for meditation and healing. I would highly recommend this property for spiritual trip away or to getaway with a group of friends to relax and reset.
The property is large and beautiful, but there was a cleanliness problem. The oven was caked in grime and bathroom vents were caked in dirt and dust. Before bed we all had to wash our feet because walking barefoot in the house meant that your feet would be black by the end of the night. The hosts seem like very lovely people, and the property truly has a lot of potential, but my family and I couldn’t get past how dirty it was. There were also a few broken items that were listed — the mini zip line being one of them. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again unless there was a significant change how the cleaning is done. It’s a shame really because the property is so nice.
This cabin was a great space for our family to vacation. The kids had so much fun playing outside as well as in the game room. There was a lot to do outside. It was great that the property was on the north side of the mountain because there was a decent amount of snow to play in. We didn’t have to leave the cabin to find snow and fun.
Exceeded expectations! Upon booking, Kim was in frequent communication ensuring all questions/concerns were addressed prior to stay providing immediate comfort. Place offers plenty of indoor/outdoor space which makes for wonderful family memories...especially while playing in endless amounts of snow surrounded by awesome views! Downstairs game room is ideal nightcap entertainment center for all - featuring projector, foosball table, shuffleboard, and more! Will definitely return in near future.
