Enjoy the water view from this immaculate home offering spacious rooms and a quiet location off of Main Street. All bedrooms are on the same level. Spread out in the two separate living rooms and two lovely porches. Plenty of space in the large dining room for the whole family to gather for meals..

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund  of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Bigger than I thought.

Very comfortable place to stay. Nothing fancy, just easy to live with furniture, plenty of pots and utensils to cook with, 3 good sized bedrooms, and easy access to refuge and everything in town. I’d definitely come back here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having stayed at Decolores in the past I was very happy to be able to get it again. It is in a great location, back from Main St. but you can still sit on the deck and watch the sunsets. Its is comfortable and roomy and the central air was much appreciated. The location is perfect. Convenient to everything. The only complaint we had this time was with the cleaning before our arrival. We came prepared to disinfect because of COVID-19 but there were toilets that hadn't been cleaned at all. The dining room table hadn't been cleaned either, and vacuuming was not done well.That issue aside it was a pleasant, affordable stay and I will happily rent it again.

Lots of Potential, Poor Condition

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed certain aspects of this property: The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to our favorite spots on Maddox Blvd. and on Main St., and we loved the water view from the deck and being so close to the channel to catch sunsets. The property is very spacious, all on one level, and we never felt cramped. Having 2.5 baths is fabulous! The kitchen was stocked (dishware-wise) with pretty much everything you might need for a week (no scissors, tho). It has a seemingly new dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, multiple coffee pots, etc. It has at least two huge smart TVs. We ate nearly every meal on the deck and had no issues with bugs; the deck, however, only seats 5 at the table (property sleeps 6). But unfortunately, the condition of this property will keep us from coming back. It’s old and needs a serious refresh. The furniture feels old and grungy, even if it’s not. Part of that may be that we found the property in less-than-clean condition. We had to dust surfaces and clean drawers ourselves. We found dirty linens stuffed in a dresser drawer and dirty clothes in a hamper. There were runners and doilies on so many surfaces, and those were dirty and dusty. One bedroom window was cracked all the way through and “fixed” with electrical tape. One bathroom door was split and “repaired” with masking tape. The wood of the bathroom doors was split and peeling at the bottoms, which is a safety issue. There is dark carpeting throughout, which again, even it’s not old, gives the sense of being grungy, especially in a beach location, where carpet captures sand. The sliding screen door (which is the main door) needs to be replaced. There was nowhere in particular to hang towels (a line of some sort would be helpful!) or bathing suits outside to dry. And with windows open, the location is a bit noisy. If this property were rehabbed, fitted with with vinyl flooring, cleaned thoroughly, and given ne

Three Week Sabbath

Decolores may look tiny but it has plenty of space for 6. Three adults, one teen and two children. Beds are comfortable. Enough seating and dining space . I was concerned that the location would be noisy. I was wrong. Peaceful and within walking distance to several of our favorite places.

Perfect Trip

There two couples and the layout of the house offered us the opportunity to be together as much as we wished but also easily separated space when we needed a bit more privacy. So many places to visit for meals, shopping and site seeing were within easy walking distance. The Island Creamery was a particular bonus being a short walk away. The neighbors were friendly and quiet. The house was clean and fit the description exactly. I don't know what could have improved our stay.

Reviewer Comments: The house was mostly dated as far as furniture in majority of the house. There was enough space which was probably the best part. There were cob webs in just about every corner. There was a chair in master bathroom that had cob webs all around it. We left the property cleaner than it was when we arrived. Dining room table was large and hall way bathroom was mostly decent/updated. Master bedroom mattress was newer/comfortable. The other two mattresses could definitely be replaced. There was rodent droppings on a shelf in one of the kitchen closets... as well as raccoons in our trash in the can outside. There was a lot of outside furniture that we were unable to use most of out stay due to rain and the abundance of cushions on all patio furniture. Parking would have been problematic had we had more than one vehicle- enough parking for 2 at the house but someone else from a house near by parked their boat in our second parking spot. I emailed to verify if we needed to bring pillows, told me yes we did need to bring them, arrived at house and there were tons of pillows there. The couches in living room were not very comfortable, looked very old and had stains on couch & couch covers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: DeColores has sentimental value, as it was our first vacation site at Chincoteague. Still remains a solid site. Good location, with ample room and many available conveniences. Appliances always seem to work too -- not always a given with such rentals. Only drawback this time was a slightly untidy deck (fallen blossoms, branches, leaves, etc.) Used broom to clean off although a blower (electric or otherwise) would have been helpful.
