About this property
Peaceful Lakefront Home
Down a rambling dirt road through the woods lies this incredibly private lakefront getaway. Almost like staying in an Audobaun society, this residence offers no shortage of wildlife viewings--from blue herons, to beavers and the rare moose sighting. This 1970s Deck House cabin was rehabbed in 2020 while retaining it's retro feel. A 4 bedrooms residence, it includes two bedrooms on the main floor, a full bathroom, and an open kitchen/dining area adjacent to a living room, with large glass doors overlooking Squam Lake. A three-season porch with 280 degree views of the lake and surrounding wooded areas is a wonderful place to gather. The lower level of the home includes two additional bedrooms, including a spacious bunk room. As well as a full bathroom with marble tile, laundry room, home office and a family room with 62" TV over a wood burning fireplace and views of the lake. Home has WiFi, laundry, sheets, towels, one 62" TV and apple home pod's for music.

About the host
Hosted by Maggie Currier

We are an architect + real estate couple. We take great pride in ownership and love to be able to share the peace and tranquility of our home for a few weeks out of the year. We have three young children and they love the freedom they have while up at the lake.
Why they chose this property
We pursued the home because of its privacy and setting. The landscape is ever-changing and we delight in watching the nature outside the windows.
What makes this property unique
The home was originally built, and the site was chosen by, a world-class ornithologist. The bird species that travel in and out of the cove is unparalleled.
