Mountain Laurel Retreat offers the perfect getaway and is only minutes from the heart of downtown Highlands, NC. We are on a private lot, NEWLY UPDATED 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. This home features a large fully equipped kitchen, family room, reading area,screened in back patio and fenced in back yard. Cable TV and WiFi. Walking distance to everything Highlands has to offer! Pets are welcome.

Cute Dog Friendly Cottage

Mary Jo’s cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Since downtown parking is usually, limited, we took advantage of the short 0.4 mile walk into town. The backyard was perfect for the dogs with its own dog door and they also met a few new pals at the nearby dog park!

Enjoyed our stay

Home was super clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the big flat fenced back yard. Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants.

Wonderful stay - A++++!

Cozy, very well kept and appointed home that is only a few blocks walking distance from the center of charming Highlands, NC. The hosts were consummate professionals and even had bottled water and a big basket of snacks ready for our enjoyment. Highly recommend!

Great Weekend

We had 6 adults stay at the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. The beds were comfortable and we loved having 2 full baths. Walking distance to restaurants and downtown. Great location!!

Great Long Weekend

We had a lovely time staying at your home! Everything was ready when we arrived - including welcome snacks! We enjoyed our walk to town both days. And the porch was fun for extra R&R!! Looking forward to our next visit!
