Everything about this home is lovely! Location. The home is situated right on the Shroon River, offering quiet and beautiful surroundings. But, only 15 minutes to Lake George's shops and restaurants. The home is decorated so nicely. The screened-in porch is a bonus. This is a cozy cabin you will want to come back to!
Great property. Clean & cozy in the heart of the ADKs. Screened porch was key due the weekend being so wet. Close enough to Lake George without the noise. Look forward to staying again.
Very relaxing, clean and comfortable home. Nice screened in porch. The road leading to the house is a private unpaved and overgrown road in the middle of the woods. Glad we had our SUV and not a car.
The house is nice and private however the bumpy dirt and loose gravel road leading to it is not motorcycle friendly. Experienced riders found it tough to get down. It also rained so there were also huge puddles.

Sorry you weren't happy with the road to our place. We realize it rained most of your stay causing puddles as well. Unfortunately we didn't know you'd be riding in motorcycles in until 3 days before your reservation at which time we did advise you of the gravel road in. Sorry this affected your stay! We work very hard to make our home a fun and comfortable stay in the Adirondacks, the road and rain however is beyond our control (we do not own the road). We do however love our Americaid folks as we've housed them every year and they've navigated the gravel road just fine. Most do ask about road/garage conditions however at the time of booking so they can better plan.
My two sisters and I stayed for a long weekend. House was comfortable and the guest are really thought about, some toiletries, paper products, games, etc included. Some reviews mention the road leading to the house, if you go 5-10 mph there’s no reason a car can’t drive down it. Fire pit and screened in porch were used a lot. We used the tubes and went tubing down the Schroon River to the bridge, took us 5 hrs lol. There were also kayaks that could be used. Definitely would come stay here again, thank you for an amazing camp for us girls!
Property was charming and quiet. It was perfect for our family. The owner had “notes” around the house for ease and everything was as advertised. Plenty of space for vehicles/boat. I brought a 20 foot bass boat and was able to park it without issue. The availability of kayaks and a canoe to bring down to the river was an added bonus.

Thank you for your kind review. We'd be happy to host you and your family anytime! Thanks again!
We had a very nice stay. The property was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for us and convenient to Lake George. We enjoyed sitting in the screen porch in the evening. The WiFi was a bit slow. One thing to note: the overhead light in the kitchen burned out and we tried to change the bulb but the base broke and stayed in the socket. Just wanted to make sure you knew. Thanks for a great stay.
The cabin was very clean ,exactly as described. I was pleasantly surprised to find the galley kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The dining table was perfect for family game night. Schroon river was visible from the house and several steps from the screened in porch. The host advised the steps to the loft were steep. They are! BUT we are in our eighties and had no problem. Perfectly located between Lake George and Bolton Landing. The 1/4 mile dirt driveway was well tended. Once you do it once, you don’t even think about it. The hosts were fantastic. They answered every question promptly. The house had the cutest chalk board directions throughout. Description said internet was spotty. We had 4 IPADS running and had no lag or problems. Can’t wait to go back.
This is the dream cabin. It's so cozy and cute and homey that you will literally scream. Seriously it has to be one of the best places I've stayed at. The beds were large and comfy, the living rooms so cozy. Everything was so wonderfully labeled and the host even pointed out an awesome festival for us to go to, where I spent way too much money.
Driving out to it you do briefly wonder if you made a mistake and you're driving into a horror movie, just dirt road and looming trees, but then the trees break and you just see the coziest little cabin with string lights. It's so beautifully secluded and pretty. Sitting out in the yard with hot cocoa and a campfire had to be my favorite moment.
You won't regret booking this place, and just thank you so much to the host for such a relaxing and magical bachelorette trip for my best friend.
The house is much closer to the river than the photos show! Mere steps! We enjoyed the kayaks a lot. Kayaks and canoe were in the garage, not the outdoor kayak holder, so we had to wrestle them out which was surprising. The screened in porch was great. We used the dining room to play games and the living room off the sliding doors was comfy. The bedrooms were adequate but bring your own pillows because the only pillows on the beds are shams that are stitched with decorative textures that were not at all ideal to sleep on.
Bring your own firewood too because there is a fire pit but we were surprised that there was no wood pile provided. That’s a first for us.
The Internet is terrible- make sure you have directions or anything else you need already downloaded. I couldn’t email with the host because the Internet was so weak. It was hot when we got there and the fans were on but the A/C was not. The loft was very hot and the little a/c up there had to work hard for it to get cool enough to sleep.
The neighbors next door were very loud late into the night. Can’t see them, so privacy is good. Be aware that you have to drive onto an unpaved, overgrown one lane dirt road. We almost passed it because we didn’t expect the rutted puddled graveled road to be our turn. Just a heads up about that and the firewood would have been helpful. You can tell the hosts care about their property. Location was great for lake and rodeo.
Beautiful, great loft area for kids, comfortable, clean, a perfect spot to take my family for a quick getaway. Looking forward to next trip. Maybe summer so kids can fish and kayak.
My wife and I were looking for a place to disconnect and recharge. This was perfect. Lots of privacy. Very well equipped. There was a snowstorm on our last day which only added to the beauty and serenity. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely time at this property. We stayed the week of Christmas, to be close to family, while also having our own space. The grounds are beautiful, with access to the stream, and a little playground our 3 y.o. enjoyed playing on. The home is cozy, inviting and clean. As others mention, the loft bedroom is up a very steep staircase, which didn't bother us at all because a bathroom was up there, and we can handle the stairs, but probably not great for the elderly or toddlers. The host touched base with us, and was responsive. We hope to return in the future, and would highly recommend this property.
we very much enjoyed our stay. the home has a warm and cozy feel with lots of homey touches. the setting is tranquil and private and we enjoyed the river and the firepit.
Nice place to stay and relax. Property was neat and clean with small notes from the owner. I will look up this place again if we visit Lake George in the future.
We enjoyed our stay! The house was clean when we arrived. The furniture and beds were comfy. The stairs to the second floor are very steep…I would not recommend using the second floor if you have leg issues. Otherwise it’s very nice upstairs.
The outside area is very nice, with the star being the Schroon River just outside the back door. We used the provide kayaks and the canoe a couple of times and it was very nice.
I would recommend this property. We had a great time.
Great Stay…..needs another air conditioner for summer
We had a great experience, the house was great and had more than everything we needed. We went in June and certain rooms were tough to sleep in with only one air conditioner. Also, if you need to work remotely….the WiFi isn’t the best and cut out from the storm. However, perfect if your looking to unplug

Thank you for your review. We have since added another AC in the master bedroom and fans in the two bedrooms downstairs. Also the WIFI is satellite so is affected by the weather, because we are in the Adirondacks that is the only WIFI offered to us.
