Big Mix-up
The place I booked was double booked. I had all my papers and confirmations which I had printed, but there was no record of them according to the person who met me at the cabin. The other person was in their system & allowed to stay. I was moved to a big old house nearby. The first night a mouse was running around the living room and kitchen. One evening a man and woman walked in where I was staying. I had never used that entrance. There were 4 or five entrances and I used the one where I had the code.Overall it was an unpleasant and scary experience.
The accomdations were as described, except when we enter the AC was blowing full blast so my adult daughter went to turn it down and noticed mild on the vent surface and dirt and filth inside where the filter is. If we hadn't drive many hours and bee exhausted we would have left that night. But instead we slept with our covid masks on, window cracked and turned the AC off since an alternative cabin was not offered.
Suggestions for the small unit would be
*to have more than one TV tray since the space accommodates more than one person.
*To maybe have a ceiling fan with a light for the unit so the AC unit doesn't have to be ran.
*To check the filters more frequently.
*To have plastic spoons available.
* Maybe have a microwave or toaster.

Hi Laura, We are very sorry that your accommodations were less than a 5 star rating. We do take cleanliness very serious and this was address with staff immediately. The Space is small so we try and utilize the porch for more seating options with our Bistro Sets, we don't provide spoons but every unit has stir sticks and a microwave.
The place is very cute, clean, safe. I only have one negative. Since there is really nowhere to sit except for the bed, it may be a good idea to flip/rotate the mattresses. When you sleep on them they tend to roll down to the side where people would sit. Otherwise I would highly recommend. Thank you.
Nice place to stay while visiting these museums. Close to both. Minimal cooking but worked for us. Nice area to sit outside and enjoy. Trains added ambiance.
Overall it was a very positive experience the only flaw was that there was not enough sugar no teabags and not enough light to see the Refreshment area. Otherwise everything was good
I needed a last minute night stay for the first day of the year. Scheduling was easy and quick. The cabin is lovely. They each have clever fun names. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

Flying Duck
Property was cute and well landscaped. Beds were comfortable. Train- a little loud but a sound machine was provided. I never communicated with the owner.
