Because we operate a raw milk herd share, no guests are permitted around the dairy barn.
This is a working farm with heavy equipment and large animals. For your safety, please limit your exploring to 900 ft of our cottage.

The moment we pulled up we were surprised at how beautiful the property and setting was. It is so quiet and serene. The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed. Some added perks were the popcorn and ice cream for us to enjoy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and warm. We were able to enjoy the fire pit and swing, watching the beautiful sunset. It was one of our most enjoyable stays.

Everything was great. The only complaint we have is the sleeping amenities. The pull out bed from the couch was not comfortable at all. You could feel the bar under the mattress even with a mattress topper. The main bed is very, very firm. Other than that it was awesome and would recommend anyone to stay.

Perfect location for what we did, Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, Churchill Downs, and Claiborne Farm. Very clean, quiet and safe location. Amenities and Accommodations were perfect. Would def stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.

My wife and I were greeted with a special Happy Anniversary message upon arrival at the cottage. This was a very sweet personal touch to make us feel welcome! All of the comforts of home were waiting for us in a relaxing location. The cottage was a wonderful get away. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin! Easy to communicate with the host. We liked being able to look out the window and seeing the cows! Cabin was clean. The cinnamon roll was delicious!

Awesome!!!

We stayed 4th of July weekend. We had a very peaceful and private stay. The country scenery was picturesque. The house had just enough room and was perfect for a older couple. We spent a lot of time on the porch just enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. We also got the benefit of watching fire works beyond the tree ridge. We spent the last night at a dinner cruise on the Ohio River cruising Cincinnati on one side and Kentucky on the other. The cinammon roles were delivered to our door from Shelleys 9 yr old son Oakley which were so good! A perfect 4th of July getaway.

Wonderful stay

This was a beautiful , charming place to stay. It was extremely clean, and had everything and more. They supplied us with popcorn, water, ice cream, which made our kids happy. It was very inviting and relaxing. The outdoor seating area was beautiful with perfecr view of the hills. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling that way. Fantastic home and fantastic hosts

Amazing Place!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! What a beautiful retreat to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet with the family. Wonderful views, gorgeous tiny cottage, super clean, and so many sweet calves roaming the field. Shelley, our Host was incredibly responsive and took care of everything to the tiniest of details. Oakley’s warm and gooey cinnamon rolls, that he personally hand delivered to our front door was the cherry on top! Loved everything about this place and hope to stay again in the future!

Peace and quiet

If you like to hear crickets and birds but no road noise, you will love this place. The house is awesome, everything looks brand new, nicely decorated, very clean. The rocking chairs on the porch makes me think that Andy and Opie may be coming by. But the best part was the landscape and how peaceful it is.

It not very often i meet someone that has a similar mindset to mine. This host thought of everything. I loved the fact that they had padding to use for the pullout bed. We all know sofa beds are not the most comfortable and they took this into consideration. Extra blankets and pillows- awesome. The whole set up this family is running is really amazing. My boyfriend and I was impressed by how lovely everything turned out to be. Our favorite part was the quiet at night, as it has been our most relaxed stay yet. We enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit and making smores together. Seeing the farm animals was awesome. Just an overall very peaceful time, thank you!

Shelley and her husband Matt have dreamed for years of owning their own rental property. It’s amazing to see it finally come to life here on our beautiful farm in Northern Kentucky. Our house name, Swiss Hills Cottage, honors the heritage of this land, home to Brown Swiss dairy cows since 1994. Matt’s parents still have a raw milk dairy operation on the farm to this day. In the fall, we also host the popular Country Pumpkins Fall Festival complete with u-pick pumpkins, hayrides, corn maze, petting zoo, and more.
