Barb’s home is the perfect place to stay. The unit was lovely and the setting near the river and gardens is beautiful. Close to Acadia, Bar Harbor and there are many things to see and do. Highly recommend!
Easy communication with owner on a lovely property just over the bridge from Mount Desert Island. This was our first trip to Maine and Barbara’s Riverfield house helped make it a trip to remember! Very clean, lovely property, magnificent morning coffee views.
Highly recommended!
Wonderful house at a very convenient location, outstanding cleanliness and with all amenities needed. The owner is extremely kind, very responsive and helpful. It was a wonderful stay!
Everything was amazing. Perfect location, right between local town and bar harbor. 7 mins from the best lobster ever!! Trenton lobster.
You wake up to the most gorgeous lake view.
Barb made everything feel like home away from home. Cannot wait to come back one day.
Thank you again!
The House at Riverfield was lovely. Extremely clean and organized. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including beach umbrellas and chairs! The mornings on the porch with our coffee and views of the flowers and Jordan River were amazing. We had great contact with Barb as well. We would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful time at the property. It had all the items that we needed for our stay and the views and property itself were perfect for the five of us. We especially enjoyed the trail in the woods that led back to a waterfall and the amazing views from the back porch. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
Barbara was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect and the view out the back windows was so beautiful! The drive to Acadia National Park was only 10 minutes away. Great location!
Great experience. Accommodations were amazing. The little touches by the owner really added to our experience and enjoyment of the property. We'd definitely stay here again. Great distance from the national park and Bar Harbor. Very peaceful and serene.
This quiet location was perfect for our family of 5, with 3 teens, conveniently located a short drive from Acadia but away from all the busyness of Bar Harbor. The home was clean, a little rustic (in a charming way) and our Hostess was wonderful to work with. Thank you!
The property was beautiful and the cabin was quaint and serene. Thank you for such great accommodations. Trenton is close to all the attractions and a stone's throw from Acacia National Park which we frequented often to participate in hikes, biking and watching sunsets.
Quiet, secluded, and just short drive to the park.
My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. This was the perfect place to be able to quickly access the park and yet relax outdoors in the evening away from any crowds. The property had more than enough space for our family of four with comfortable furniture and everything else we needed during our stay. It is also very close to a number of great places to eat close by. The owner is very hospitable and kept us updated on anything that we needed to know before and during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Field. Barb’s communication was excellent from start to finish, including information in the house for activities to enjoy. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked; little things like night lights, luggage racks, extra blankets were all appreciated. Did I mention the view and that we could bring our dog? Don’t miss this peaceful retreat!
We absolutely loved our rental in Trenton. It was a perfect fit for our family of five. We loved how the location was so easy to access and a short drive to Acadia, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The landscape and water vista at the house are gorgeous, and we enjoyed some quiet evenings after our long hikes on the back patio watching the birds and the tide rise. Check in and check out were easy, except for the fact that we would’ve enjoyed one more day of vacation in Maine. :-)
We highly recommend this rental and a trip to Maine!
Barb is wonderful and the house is perfect with everything that you need, including an embracing interior. If you sit on the back veranda from sunrise to sunset you will see a different shade of Monet's The Seine at Giverny; the tidal lake is beautiful as it changes colors, and form, throughout the day. You have quick easy access to Rt 3 and the island. It doesn't get much better and the country road to the house is secluded from Rt 3. The quiet is what the doctor ordered and the short sunrise walks, out through the woods and back to the lake, with my lab were priceless. Thanks Barb and we look forward to seeing you again. We travelled to Acadia for 4th of July Weekend. We happened to find this location and it worked out wonderfully! The property is off the main road down a long driveway and very secluded and quiet despite being so close to the highway. It’s right on the Jordan river, which is a ocean inlet and fun to watch the tide and even go explore, if you want. There is a nice porch and fire pit, although we didn’t use it due to exhaustion from hiking. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get anywhere in Acadia, but it’s a very nice drive. The house itself is the lower level of the owners log cabin with separate entrance. We could barely tell she was there. There was a nice couch, TV, WiFi dining table and fully loaded kitchen with spices and everything. She left us a nice snack tray and water cooler for water bottles. The bathroom and bedroom were as described with plenty of towels and blankets. Worked perfectly for our family of six, but would be great for couples, other sized families or friends traveling together. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for the great accommodations!
My sister and I loved staying here. Barb has thought of everything to make our stay here comfortable. The place was spotless and the furniture was so comfortable including the beds.
We enjoyed sitting on the back deck enjoying the beautiful view in the mornings and at sunset. A wonderful place all in all!
Barb our host thought of everything for a enjoyable time at her lovely home. Really close to everything. She even gave us some great places to eat local as well in Bar Harbor. On the go from morning to night. Did not get to enjoy the desk or walking down to Jordan River.
We had a wonderful time! We drove up from Chicago and the check in was very easy! It was clean, comfortable and inviting. Barb was friendly and easy to get in touch with.
