About this property
North Bay Sunsets and Lakeside Living Await!
Welcome to the Vermont Lake House North Bay, situated on a quiet dead-end drive on the North Bay of Lake Saint Catherine, offering incredible sunset views and private lake frontage on one of the best spots on LSC. With a lakeside patio and dock, large deck, horseshoes, fire pit, kayaks, and an expansive lawn, there is no shortage of ways to unwind and take in the serenity of this quintessential Vermont lake house, during every season.
The space
Well-kept home has been updated throughout, and includes a smartTV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, high-speed internet access (enabling work from ‘home’), a master BR with sliders to the waterfront deck, books and games, spacious bathroom, and a well-appointed kitchen with granite countertops and a double-door fridge (no freezer; bring a cooler if you’d like – ice can be purchased nearby). There is a pack-n-play, and the deck has a gate to keep little ones from going down the stairs. The lawn does have a slight slope to it, so watch the kids. *Maximum occupancy is 8 adults.
The water is shallow near the dock for wading (NOT DIVING!), and drops off just beyond the dock – great for fishing, swimming, boating, and floating.
LSC boasts some of the cleanest water in New England, and is ideally located to take advantage of everything the area offers. The LSC Country Club just across the road has a challenging 18-hole golf course and restaurant & tavern open to the public. Within biking distance are the Slate Valley hiking and biking trails, with magnificent mountain and lake views. The fall foliage cannot be beat – and be sure to check out Hick’s Orchard. In winter, reach six ski resorts within an hour, bring your snowmobile just down the road to ride, ice fish or ice skate on the frozen lake, or snowshoe on any number of nearby trails and properties. Look to the charming towns of Manchester, Dorset and Rutland, 30 minutes away, for shopping and farm-to-table dining. Want to catch a world-class concert or watch the thoroughbreds run? Saratoga is a leisurely one-hour drive! There are several breweries and a winery nearby, too.
Then come back to the lake, settle into an Adirondack chair, and – if you’re lucky enough – catch a glimpse of the resident bald eagles.
Security cameras: One outside camera on the side the main entry, to view road and driveway. Another outside camera on the rear of the house to view the lake condition. A third pointed at the slate walk away. All cameras will be on during your stay .
