Respite by the River
This was our first time visiting Yosemite and surrounding areas, and it was everything we’d hoped for. I had researched and planned for 3 years, (COVID delayed our plans), and chose the Incline house mainly for its location. After all the exploration we did, in and around the park we realized El Portal was the closest and most efficient entrance to the park. We had zero wait time the entire week with very little traffic. The house was perfect for the 3 of us. The photos don’t do it justice. It was comfortable and provided everything we needed (except for the microwave which didn’t work, though we survived without popcorn ;). We did, however, cook quite a bit. If you’re coming from Fresno I recommend stopping in Oakhurst or Mariposa for groceries. And get enough for your stay because it’s a long drive back there for more. There’s a small market in El Portal if you need something basic in a pinch. There’s gas there as well. It was a very remote and quiet area with just the soothing sound of the flowing river. Every day we returned from a long day of hiking and sat on rocks with our feet in the ice cold river. Lastly, know that internet was sketchy…everywhere…even in the park. To sum up, I highly recommend this place. Thank you Marc!

Great river house close to Yosemite
This was a great find. The house is approximately 20-30 minutes from the Yosemite Valley floor and incredibly beautiful drive along the Merced River into the park. We didn't spend much time at the house, but it was great waking up to and sleeping to the roaring sound of the river. House has everything you need and great find compared to scrambling for the very few tent openings in the park. Market in El Portal has most of the essentials but pack your own meat and veggies. Tons of Newts for the kids to find in the backyard. Beds are comfortable. Internet is spotty, but who the hell goes to Yosemite for Wifi. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Home
Owners were very responsive. The house had everything we needed and was close to Yosemite Valley. Great place by the river to relax and have some quiet away from the city. Stars were beautiful at night. Could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Terrific stay at the Incline House
We had a wonderful time at the Incline house while visiting Yosemite. We visited in the winter and the house was not only close to the Arch Rock entrance of the park but a warm and comfy sanctuary at the end of each day. The kitchen was fully stocked, bedrooms were cozy, bathrooms clean with soft plush towels and living and dining areas very well appointed. There is a lovely outside deck off the kitchen which we enjoyed and another off the master bedroom which was also lovely. The thing we enjoyed most though was the location of the home. The Merced River was absolutely beautiful and can be seen and heard from every room in the house. It's beautiful, tranquil and peaceful. We loved taking walks each day down the road and witnessed many deer, a bobcat, blue jays, woodpeckers and many red tailed hawks. On our walks we also loved the beautiful babbling falling steams going down to the river. The mountains were covered with freshly fallen snow at the high elevations which was delightful. In the evening the moon and stars were out in full force and truly a sight to behold. Communication with Marc was easy and he was attentive when needed. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!

Great house and great location!
My sister and I stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The house was perfectly situated so that you feel like you are away from everyone, but close enough if needed. The drive into Yosemite each day was only 15 minutes (Oct/no traffic) so we were able to enjoy the beauty of the park any time we wanted. There is no reception at the house so make sure you have all of the check in instructions prior to getting to the house. The store at El Portal does have wi-fi that you can use if needed. We would highly recommend this house!! Had everything we needed and was super comfortable. THANKS!
