About this property
Fontana View 3 - Three Story Rustic Cabin Sleeps up to 16 People
This three story, beautiful, ridge-top lodge is our highest sleeping capacity cabin accommodating up to 18 people. Its locale is walking distance to other 1, or 2 bedroom cabins so even larger groups can be accommodated. This cabin is among the finest rental units you will ever find when you combine the custom nature of the construction, the detailed level of appointment, and the ridgetop view locale of the cabin, which borders US Forest Service land and is directly accessible to a trail leading down to the Tsali mountain biking area.
The wrap around deck features a propane grill, outdoor dining seating for 12, may Adirondack chairs to enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the deck, a triple hammock hanger, outdoor fireplace, and hot tub. The ground floor patio features more Adirondack seating and a corn hole set.
Entering through the main (center) floor you will find a large great room, main/living room, queen bedroom, and full bathroom. The main floor houses the great room that features a large wall of windows to enjoy the amazing view. Within the great room, a towering stone gas fireplace is surrounded by a sectional sofa, 55" TV, with a game table for 4 that provides additional dining space for larger groups. The main dining table is part of the full stainless steel kitchen and features 4 chairs plus bench seating to allow flexibility for diners. There are 2 dishwashers provided, perfect for large groups.
There is a queen bedroom, with TV, on the main floor that has access to the the shared bathroom.
On the upper (third) floor, you'll find a King master with TV, access to a private balcony, and a private full bathroom. The other side of the upper level is an enclosed bunk room featuring a twin bunk and queen bunk. This room also has access to a private balcony. A separate full bathroom is also housed on the upper floor.
The ground (bottom) floor features an open rec area with a shared bathroom, pool table, 55" smart TV, and a washer & dryer. The ground floor is also home to two bedrooms; the left bedroom features a queen bed with a set of twin bunk beds & TV, while the right bedroom houses two queen beds & TV.
**Please be advised that this cabin has bunk beds designed to accommodate guests of all ages. For this reason, the bunk beds do not include the typical safety rails which are included on children's bunk beds. However, there are safety rails stored in the ground floor queen/twin bunk bedroom**
WiFi is provided.

Important Notice: Road Conditions in the Smoky Mountains
Please be aware that road conditions in the Smoky Mountains can be unpredictable and may change rapidly due to weather. Our cabin’s roads & driveways are either pavement or gravel or both. Depending on the season, you may experience road conditions such as heavy rain washouts, snow, sleet, roads covered in leaves, etc. We highly recommend using a 4WD vehicle to ensure safe travel to your cabin, especially during winter months or inclement weather. We also strongly recommend traveling in a vehicle with higher ground clearance to navigate the terrain more easily. Low clearance vehicles will not be able to access certain cabin roads including The Watershed Resort.
Please Note:
NO REFUNDS will be issued if you are unable to reach your cabin due to road conditions.
We advise checking weather and road conditions prior to your trip to ensure a safe and pleasant journey.
Your safety is our priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Water Conservation Policy
To ensure the sustainability of our beautiful mountain environment, we kindly ask all guests to use water mindfully during their stay. Please limit shower times, turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, and report any leaks immediately. We also encourage the reuse of towels and linens to reduce water consumption. These small actions help preserve our natural resources and keep the mountains pristine for future visitors.
Run the washer sparingly.
Only run the dishwasher when it's full.
DO NOT wash your car.
Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to your visit!
Attention: Active Wildlife in the Area
Our area of WNC is currently experiencing increased wildlife activity, particularly from bears. While it’s a privilege to share our environment with these magnificent creatures, it’s essential that we all take precautions to ensure our safety and theirs.
Please follow these guidelines:
Secure all food and garbage: Bears are attracted to strong smells. Do not leave food in your car and reattach bungee cords to trash can lids every time.
Be aware of your surroundings: Stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active.
Avoid close encounters: If you see a bear or other wildlife, maintain a safe distance and do not approach.
Travel in groups: When possible, hike or explore with others, and make noise to alert animals of your presence. Keep dogs leashed at all times.
Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe and harmonious environment for everyone. Thank you for your attention and care.
