Great spot - short walk to town

We stayed for a long weekend in late July. The rental is very clean and very well maintained. We had a 22 month old with us and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Not a criticism (we give it a 5 star review) but more of a heads up… it’s an old seaport home so very steep stairs to the second floor. Fine for us but not toddler friendly. My daughter and toddler stayed in primary suite on first floor which actually worked great for us and his naps, earlier risings. Highly recommend this property!

Spacious, clean , great location

We had a great week. The home was super clean & well equipped. Every appliance is in excellent condition. The house has recently been remodeled. Sleeping is very comfortable. The house is super quiet inside. You can not hear others when in the bedrooms. This is not a home for anyone that has a challenge climbing stairs. We appreciated the extra beach chairs in the shed. The tap water has a funny smell & bad taste , so plan on buying ALOT of bottled water. We would consider coming back.

The agency missed an important detail

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: During the initial discussion with AVH, I told the AVH sales agent I was coming to stay with a group of grandmothers. We are not youngsters. the staircase in this charming old house was treacherous. Four of the six grandmothers couldn't climb the stairs which meant they never unpacked or slept in the two upstairs bedrooms. The sales agent never mentioned the stairs. The photos didn't show the staircae. I regret the AVH sales agent didn't pick up on the reference to "grandmothers" and provide specific info on the treacherous, ancient, steep set of stairs

Wonderful getaway, Prime location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We LOVED our stay at the Spinnaker :) The house was just as it appeared in the photos - very clean and well maintained. The rooms were all nice size with updated furnishings (better looking than comfortable), crisp linens on the beds, kitchen had everything needed to cook. Only wish it had a king size bed. What makes this 5 stars is how well maintained and serviced it is, and the location!!! Property management was great, even delivering extra blankets requested! We were a short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and ice cream at Bearskin Neck! Highly recommend this place for you next vacation!!!

A Hot Gem

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Spinnaker is within a short walk of the central village of Rockport. We were very happy with the location and the amenities of the house. It has an updated kitchen and the outside terrace was nice to have dinner at. It is an old house though and not without it's troubles. The ceilings are on the low side and the stairs going up to the 2nd floor are steep. One difficulty we faced is the central air was not working when we arrived. One bedroom had a window unit, but the other rooms were sweltering for the first couple of nights. It took a few phone calls, but management eventually came in and installed three more window units to cool down the other two bedrooms and living room. Parking is also a problem as the owners do not allow you to use the garage. Still, I would recommend this location once they have the central air repaired.
