Wonderful home in a central yet quiet location. We enjoyed very hot weather all week, yet the house remained cool without air conditioning. We booked very last minute and were delighted this beautiful home was available.

Fabulous Location

Unbeatable location, right in the heart of St Martin with restaurants, bars and shops just steps away. The house is quirky and utterly charming with very simple but stylish interiors. The pool is small but adequate to entertain a child after a hot day of sightseeing. Emilie was extremely helpful in managing our stay and ironing out any issues we had. The WhatsApp system is a great idea, basically a concierge service, very convenient indeed. This was our second visit to Le Passe Simple and certainly won’t be our last! Air conditioning would improve the comfort of the house, we were there during a heatwave and did struggle to some nights. Obviously this is not the case all the time but it would be a welcome addition to have the option. It would also mean that you could keep the windows closed and avoid any noise from the street.

A beautiful old house in a fabulous position, could have been a lot cleaner and I was upset to be asked to pay extra for linens ( sheets , towels etc ) after I’d booked. After a 7 hour drive with 3 under 5s my daughter and husband met our host at the gate into the harbour , as instructed. She then made them wait a further 40 minutes whilst the host ( who seemed to be chatting) waited for others people not in our party , before showing them to the villa , this I suggest is not the way to start ! We were interrupted on 3 occasions with workmen coming into the house but sadly not a cleaner as the mid week clean wasn’t apparent. Leaving the house was also a military operation being told we had to dispose of our rubbish at the village tip , after finding it we had to sort through the recycling as it wasn’t clear how this was done . Strict instructions on how to leave the house honestly felt like we were cleaning it for the next guests, and we left it cleaner than we found it . I was also informed midweek that my deposit was going to be withheld for not paying an invoice that I had already paid .If I owned this house , I’d invest in a much better cleaner and a much better agent to manage it .

Hello Lisa, We are sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with your stay in one of our villas on Ile de Ré. Our managers do their best to welcome tenants in the best possible conditions. Sometimes 2 arrivals take place at the same time and they are not always available immediately. After verification, the villa was opened on your arrival while waiting to welcome you. The intermediate cleaning also took place on wednesday august 26 at 11:30am. Maybe you were absent at that time ? Regarding waste, we specify in our automatic message for the check out that it's just necessary to put the kitchen bins in the containers before your departure and to bring the glass if possible to a collection point. Une maison remplie d'âme

la qualité de la literie, les vélos à disposition, les produits de commodités laissés à disposition, ainsi que la base de l'épicerie température jaccuzi à pouvoir augmenter même ponctuellement pour les jours de fraîcheur... Un repoussoir pour les goélands qui nichent au dessus de la piscine, on a dû nettoyer les excréments plusieurs fois dans la semaine Aussi des grandes assiettes dont la taille est gérable par le lave vaisselle, et un bol pour la grande cafetière et des petites cuillères dans le service hors argenterie. Enfin, un grand barbecue serait à la hauteur du standing de la maison....

Le logement est très bien.

L’emplacement est vraiment bien compte tenu de sa proximité avec le port. La maison est confortable. La piscine/jacuzzy est agréable. Nous avons apprécié le cadeau de bienvenue et l’accueil de Patricia. Les seules remarques que je me permettrais sont que : les clés de la porte d’entrée ne fonctionnent pas très bien, le code wifi n’était pas celui indiqué sur la plaquette d’information, le wifi n’est pas assez puissant pour une connexion partout dans la maison notamment dans la suite du haut, d’autant plus que nous ne captions pas non plus le réseau de téléphonie dans la maison, un rideau opaque ou des volets intérieurs seraient nécessaires pour la porte vitrée qui donne sur la rue, les escaliers sont assez glissants des bandes antidérapantes seraient utiles, les nombreuses lumières dans le salon/salle à manger créent une ambiance agréable mais il serait pratique d’avoir des interrupteurs centralisés, il manque le nécessaire pour nettoyer le barbecue, il serait utile de mettre dans le placard à poubelle une information sur les jours de ramassage des ordures et du recyclage, les housses des coussins et matelas D’exterieurs mériteraient d’être nettoyés entre chaque locataire, il n’y avait pas de poubelle dans la salle de bain de la suite du haut, ni savon, l’affiche dans la douche de la suite du haut est erronée (position des Boutons souchette/pluie), la vaisselle (notamment les assiettes et les verres à vin) n’était pas suffisante, nous n’avons trouvé qu’une poêle et une marmite qui fonctionnaient avec les plaques à induction, un porte serviette serait utile dans les wc du rdc, nous avons trouvé des moutons de poussière sous les lits.
