We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The location is great, tucked away but not a far drive from the cute little downtown area of Damariscotta. We took the kayaks and paddle boards out during our stay & there is a water trampoline for swimming. The perfect getaway if you’re looking to spend time in nature & get out on the water.

Set on a great spot on the lake- tranquil and sunny. Everything you need to enjoy lake time- dock, fire pit, paddle boards, swing and hammock. And then a short drive to town. We will be back again!

Waking up every morning to see this beautiful lake right outside the window was just wonderful. The cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed. Would stay again.

This was our favorite place on our 2 week NorthEast tour. Perfect combination of quiet and solitude to recharge the batteries. Amenities were great! Will stay here again another time in a heartbeat!

Weather didn't cooperate much but we enjoyed our time nonetheless. Love this spot for it's proximity to the village of Damariscotta. So convenient and a cute place to stay.

Have stayed several times over the last few years. Love the proximity to town (and obviously the lake!). It's hard to take a full week off so the flexible schedule at the "Maine Cabin Master's" remodel is a real blessing.

Must Stay Cozy Getaway!

My 3 girlfriends and I stayed at Luke and Laura’s cozy lake side cabin in late June and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Newcastle area. The location was perfect, just under ten minutes from the main st area, with a ton of options to eat and shop! I highly recommend sunny side for breakfast and the shuck shack for lunch or dinner.

Lovely cabin. Beautiful waterfront, nice fire pit. Nice bunk beds and a small but adequate master with a queen. We didn’t use the loft - it was too hot. The host was really responsive. There were beautiful bath towels, but limited kitchen supplies (like no leftover oils, spices, condiments, etc). If you are a basic cook, this is the kitchen for you. If you plan to cook here, bring your own grill tools. The kayaks were fun, and the floating trampoline dock was gorgeous, looked brand new and was great fun!It’s a very peaceful place- we would come again!!

Lovely Cabin

We staying with our 2 daughters and absolutely loved the cabin and the lake. They kayaked, paddle boarded and swam. The cabin itself was perfect for our family. I hope we are able to visit again!

We had an amazing time at the lake!

We are four adult sisters, 60+. The cabin was comfortable, had everything we needed for a good stay. It’s located right on the water and so convenient to all the sightseeing we wanted to do. I would highly recommend as our stay far exceeded our expectations.

Gorgeous. If you want loons and paddle boards and a beautiful location, book now. This cabin was beautiful. Classy. Top notch.There are other houses around on the deadend lane but it feels so private, You have your own dock and waterfront area with hammock, fire pit etc, There are multiple paddleboards/kayaks. The water body is huge. There's a grill and outdoor table with umbrella out on the deck. Damariscotta looks really fun but we didn't even leave the cabin on our short stay. Owners very helpful and prompt in answering any questions. There's a Hannafords in town for all you need. The kitchen is fabulously equipped. Beautiful peaceful spot and very classy. We loved it.

This is our second visit to the "Kayakers' Cabin" and just as wonderful! It's so nice to have the option of a few day's stay as opposed to a full week which is hard to do with work. Thank you for sharing your sweet spot on my favorite Maine lake!

Peaceful and lovely

We loved staying here for our anniversary! Warm sunny days and gentle breezes off the lake most days. Everything is provided that you might need with some fabulous lobster and restaurants close by. Our boat tour to see the Atlantic puffins was such a treat. Laura was very accommodating and helpful. A ten out of ten!

Perfect waterfront getaway

My husband and I adore this place and plan to return. It was clean and had everything we needed (kitchen and bathroom necessities, etc.). The cabin is right on the water (it appears to be a renovated boat house), has a large fire pit, has several kayaks and paddle boards for use, and has a large deck with a grill. Also had a hammock and a porch swing. It's the perfect summer weekend getaway!

Wonderful getaway

Our family of 4 had a lovely time kayaking on the lake and playing foosball and other games in the cabin. We took advantage of fun activities in the mid-coastal Maine region, as well, such as the botanical gardens, Hardy Boat Cruises, and enjoyed a couple of visits to Round Top Ice Cream. The cabin was a great little base for exploring the area as well as a wonderfully relaxing and beautiful location to enjoy. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the lake was during a July weekend.

Masterful! (lol)

Very much enjoyed the treehouse feeling of this cool place -- we had excellent July weather during our short stay; this was one of the places we stayed in on a two-week jaunt up and down the coast. Cool breezes, warm lake, very peaceful. The place is perfect for a couple or one family with a few kids. Has the added cachet of having been on an episode of "Maine Cabin Masters" some years back -- if you know, you know. Not luxurious, but that's not the point of a good summer camp! We loved it.
