Ideal holiday home for 2 or 3 couples, and 4 to 6 children depending on the configuration. The house is located 5 km from Sarlat; it is a comfortable Perigordian house on 1 ha of land with a heated swimming pool exclusively for tenants (there are no other houses on the property).

House located in the heart of the Dordogne, a few kilometres from Sarlat-La-Canéda, capital of the Périgord Noir. The house is located in Montfort, renowned for the meander of the Dordogne winding around the famous castle perched on top of a promontory. The house is bathed in a haven of peace in a green setting; it is set in magnificent grounds of 1 hectare, one third of which is a walnut plantation, one third a pleasure garden in the middle of which is the house, and at the back a small wild wood on the hillside. Behind the property, on the other side of the hill, is the Rochebois Golf Club, a magnificent estate that is very popular with players (reopening planned for 2026).
The house can accommodate 2 couples on the ground floor and 1 couple and 4 children upstairs.
The house includes:
- 2 individual double bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom (there are therefore 2 bathrooms) on the ground floor
- 1 bedroom with 2 beds on the first floor
- 1 mini-dormitory bedroom with 4 beds on the first floor
- 1 shower room on the first floor (shared by the 2 bedrooms)
- 1 living room
- 1 kitchen - dining room (with dishwasher)
- 1 separate toilet
The house is an 8-minute walk from the river Dordogne.

Lage sensationell. Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Toller Urlaub. Erholung pur. Man bezahlt fĂŒr die geniale Lage, nicht unbedingt das Haus: Liegen kaputt, in der KĂŒche nur 1 Pfanne, KĂŒhlschrank verliert Wasser, BĂ€der waren nicht komplett sauber.

En pleine nature aux milieux des chĂąteaux

Si vous n'aimez pas ĂȘtre rĂ©veillĂ© par les biches, les oiseaux ou les Ă©cureuils, passez votre chemin. La maison, une pĂ©rigourdine traditionnelle, a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©novĂ©e et agencĂ©e avec beaucoup de goĂ»t, trĂšs confortable (3 salles d'eau, 4 wc), en haut d'un vallon, avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne et le chĂąteau de Monfort, accĂšs par un petit chemin privĂ©. Plein de ballades Ă  pieds, la Dordogne de mĂȘme Ă  moins de dix minutes. Sarlat Ă  5 kilomĂštres. La piscine, non couverte mais chauffĂ©e par une pompe Ă  chaleur, atteignait les 25° Ă  26°c, alors qu'en ce dĂ©but d'automne les tempĂ©ratures fraĂźchissaient. Seul petit reproche au niveau de la cuisine, le frigo est trĂšs petit, cela a Ă©tĂ© car nous n'avons jamais Ă©tĂ© plus de quatre Ă  la fois, mais en plein Ă©tĂ© ça peut-ĂȘtre juste. Ă  part cela, trĂšs trĂšs content de notre sĂ©jour. Cordialement, Viviane & Gilles.

Bel endroit, mais prestations pas au niveau de son prix

Nous avons louĂ© la maison au cours du mois d'aoĂ»t 2024. Les points forts de la demeure : la proximitĂ© de Sarlat, la piscine sĂ©curisĂ©e, l'Ă©tendue du parc, le calme, le WIFI et enfin une superbe vue. Toutefois, la prestation n'est pas au niveau du prix demandĂ©. Ceci en comparaison aprĂšs avoir fait 5 locations diffĂ©rentes dans la rĂ©gion, En premier lieu, l’expĂ©rience d'accueil laisse Ă  dĂ©sirer puisque pour la premiĂšre fois nous ne sommes pas accueillis physiquement mais par une boĂźte Ă  clef. Nous n'avons jamais eu affaire au propriĂ©taire, mais un service de conciergerie qui de son propre aveu gĂšre de nombreux biens et n'a donc pas le temps de nous rĂ©pondre/ Au delĂ  de cela, par rapport aux standards dĂ©jĂ  connus, de nombreux Ă©lĂ©ments ne sont pas au niveau : * Compte tenu du prix de la maison, devoir abonder pour bĂ©nĂ©fice de linge de maison est un peu abusĂ© * La poussiĂšre s'est accumulĂ©e et une forte odeur de renfermĂ© reste tenace dans la maison * L’état de propretĂ© est insuffisant * Le cadenas de la piscine est rouillĂ© donc dangereux * Enfin, pas de livret d'accueil, ce qui est pourtant une chose frĂ©quente voire standard Au final, un bel endroit mais laissĂ© dans son jus

La maison est idĂ©alement situĂ©e pour visiter les plus beaux sites de la rĂ©gion ! La maison est grande, plus ou moins bien Ă©quipĂ©e, la piscine est agrĂ©able (sauf les cailloux pas top autour de la piscine). Belle terrasse mais attention aux frelons! Et Attention aussi Ă  l’accĂšs qui se fait par un petit chemin, pour les voitures basses ce n’est pas trĂšs pratique! Beau sĂ©jour dans son ensemble!

Ruhig gelegen mit schöner Aussicht

Lage zwischen Sarlat und Fluss ist toll, ruhig an ein Feldweg ohne Verkehr. GerÀumige Garten mit schöner grosser pool. Das Haus ist schön und gut eingerichtet mit alles was es braucht.

Séjour trÚs agréable dans le Périgord

Nous avons passĂ© une trĂšs agrĂ©able semaine dans cette maison. Les chambres sont toutes spacieuses, avec une salle de bain, un vrai plus.La literie est bonne. Le calme est garantit car la maison est isolĂ©e avec une superbe vue sur le chĂąteau. Les points nĂ©gatifs de cette maison sont peu nombreux, le nombre de marches (attention aux personnes Ă  mobilitĂ© rĂ©duite), les Ă©quipements parfois un peu justes (pas de plat Ă  tarte, verres tous dĂ©pareillĂ©s, salon pas confortable 
), le paiement au rĂ©el de l’électricitĂ© en fin de sĂ©jour apporte une note nĂ©gative (a inclure dans le tarif de la location). Enfin un livret d’accueil pour conseiller sur les bons plans ou incontournables de la rĂ©gion aurait Ă©tĂ© apprĂ©ciĂ©.

Peaceful, comfortable and convenient in the heart of the Dordogne

We have just enjoyed a very successful month long stay en famille in this lovely property. The location is really perfect for the sites of the Dordogne area. The house and pool are secluded and private but very convenient for Sarlat, the river and various chateaux. The house was ideally arranged for our party so that the young family could occupy the rooms and bathroom on the first floor and there were still two good sized bedrooms with their own en-suites on the ground floor for the other adults. Everything was clean and generally well equipped. We did bring a few extra things (having checked with Arnault first) such as a teapot and some large mugs. Because we were staying for a month we also bought a few large glasses, a chopping board and fans for all the bedrooms but there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans. The oven is small but very efficient. If you’re not used to this type of oven the instructions are easily found online and in English. The wifi was excellent. Because we were there during a heatwave, the well maintained pool was a godsend and was in use every day. There are lots of sun loungers and the beds are very comfortable. The double beds are all ( English) king size - if you’re bringing your own sheets. Because we had young children with us we found the stair gates, travel cot and high chair very useful. Our youngest grandchild (17months ) managed quite well negotiating the little steps both inside and outside the house and the little path down to the swimming pool. The pool is safely fenced off so that children cannot get in unaccompanied. Arnault was very prompt and very helpful in responding to any questions in considerable detail and, if we had any concerns or questions during our stay there was someone on hand to help very quickly. It’s a lovely spot with a view of Montfort, the river beach at Soleil Plage and Margot’s boulangerie/ pñtisserie within easy walking distance and we can definitely recommend it as a comfortable house ideally situated for visiting the Dordogne.

Le calme proche de tous les sites!

Magnifique maison pĂ©rigourdine proche de tous les beaux sites. Havre de paix pour se ressourcer. Nous avons passĂ© de magnifiques vacances! Nous reviendrons! Le 3 Ă©toiles pour la propretĂ© est pour la piscine qui n’a Ă©tĂ© nettoyĂ©e le dernier jour de notre sĂ©jour.

Mooie locatie

Fijn huis, waar je heerlijk buiten kunt leven. Voor kleintjes die wel kruipen, maar niet lopen wel iets lastiger ivm aflopende grasvelden en grit rondom zwembad en terras. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad met de hele familie

TrÚs agreable maison périgourdine avec grand jardin parfaitement situé

Nous avons passé une trÚs belle semaine malgré le canicule: la maison résistait assez à la chaleur et la piscine avec vue sur le chùteau de Montfort aidait beaucoup. Cuisine trÚs bien équipée. Situation excellente pour découvrir les joyaux de la Dordogne. DépÎt de pain à deux minutes en vélo. Merci beaucoup!

SĂ©jour formidable!

Nous avons passĂ© un sĂ©jour extra en Dordogne, le cadre de cette maison y a largement contribuĂ©. L'emplacement Ă©tait pour nous idĂ©al : au calme, trĂšs proche de Sarlat et de quelques villages classĂ©s parmi les plus beaux villages de France. Le petit bourg de Montfort-Vitrac n'est lui-mĂȘme pas dĂ©nuĂ© de charme! Nous avons Ă©galement apprĂ©ciĂ© ĂȘtre Ă  20mn Ă  pied de la Dordogne et d'un centre de location de canoĂ«s. La maison est bien Ă©quipĂ©e, avec ses 3 salles de bains et ses 4 WC. Une ou deux casseroles en plus n'aurai(en)t pas Ă©tĂ© du luxe mais cela ne nous a pas gĂȘnĂ©s outre mesure. La piscine est trĂšs bien entretenue, de mĂȘme que le jardin. La faute Ă  pas de chance a fait que la plaque vitrocĂ©ramique a rendu l'Ăąme pendant notre sĂ©jour. Nous remercions chaleureusement le propriĂ©taire et la personne responsable de la location sur place pour leur rĂ©activitĂ© Ă  la remplacer ainsi que pour le geste commercial. Nous recommandons!

Beautiful but no-frills

Our family of 8 stayed in this property for a week in June 2018. The setting was beautiful, with the rural landscape and Montfort castle as a backdrop, cows that mooed to us every evening, and a spacious rental with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all of us. We had a wonderful time there. The only thing to note is that the property does not provide any bedding, towels, or even extra toilet paper than what is available when you arrive. We were traveling with young kids for 3 weeks and had no extra room to pack any linens. We therefore had to pay an extra 2.5 euros per person per day (!!!) for bedding and 5 euros per towel rental. We were also required to pay for electricity. We had not known about these extra payments when we booked the property. Finally each room had a dusty film over it that set off allergic reactions in several of us. All of that said, we did enjoy the beauty of the location, the very mildly heated pool, and the close access to many quaint towns in this gorgeous part of the French countryside. Its just good to know these things ahead of time.

Sehr schön

Ein schönes Haus mit super Ausstattung und wirklich sehr ruhig gelegen! Kanustation in Vitrac und Marche in Sarlat sind in 10 min Fahrzeit erreichbar! Baguette gab es auch jeden Morgen in ca. 500 m Entfernung. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung haben will ist hier richtig!
