This was our 6th stay at The Cottage By The Sea and we are already planning our next visit. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Each time we stay there we are reminded how special it is to be in such close proximity to the dunes and the ocean with such comfortable surroundings. Amy, the owner is the perfect host and has created an unbeatable beach experience for her guests. The Cottage By The Sea is our number one choice when visiting Fernandina.

Thank you for your generous words and for making Cottage by the Sea your beach tradition. Six visits and counting! This makes my day. I couldn’t remember how many years it had been. The closeness to the dunes and ocean is what first made me fall in love with this property, and I love knowing you feel that same connection each time you return. It’s always a pleasure to welcome you back. Sending Sunshine, Amy

Thank you for your thoughtful review! I'm so glad the cottage was a great fit for your family and that it became your favorite beach house on Amelia Island. It was especially fun to hear that your children enjoyed the book collection. That compliment meant a lot coming from a reading specialist. I hope we have the opportunity to host your family again soon!

Mrs

What a beautiful cozy cottage by the sea. It lives up to its name The deck overlooking the dunes and beach are the selling point of this property! I have grown up on this beach and so glad this is a choice other than a condo or hotel!

We just returned from our second stay at The Cottage by the Sea and we loved it just as much as the first time! Except this time the house is more updated and an additional bathroom. They did a great job with the renovation! The proximity to the beach is perfect for our family of 4, and being able to walk to the little surf shop and restaurants made things so convenient. The house is well stocked with beach chairs, towels, and games, which kept us entertained. We had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for families!

What a gem of a place! I always worry whether I've chosen the right vacation rental, but this home exceeded every expectation. The location was perfect, and it provided the backdrop for such a memorable trip with my family. The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly responsive, proactive with communication, and quick to help with anything we needed to make our stay even more enjoyable. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again. We can't wait to return!

Quiet and Relaxing Experience

Our 5th stay at Amy’s Cottage by the Sea. The view of the ocean and dunes is awesome, even on the rare rainy day. The Cottage is clean and cozy and the location is unbeatable. With easy access to restaurants , the greenway and downtown shops. Our absolute favorite place to stay in Fernandina.
