We had a great stay at the house. Our hosts were very attentive to any needs we had. The accomodation was well equipped and we particularly made good use of the outdoor grill and the coffee machine. The artefacts and history in the house was fascinating. The location was ideal for visiting the local places of interest. It was also ideally positioned for the local bakery and supermarkets. We would like to thank our hosts for our stay

This property will be ideal for history and nature lovers. Character and charm are plentiful. There are horses and chickens in the ourside space nearby. The property itself is functionable and comfortable but tired in places. There is a boulangerie about 5mins drive away and it is 10 mins from castlenaudry. The vast aray of ornaments books treasures would not be ideal for curious youngsters but perfect for groups of adults and older children. The hosts were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
A stunning estate surrounded by trees, away from the bustle of the city. Highly recommend!
Every corner of the house is steeped in history. You can spend hours looking at vintage furniture, old photographs and family heirlooms.
At first it seems that you are entering a museum, but the house is perfectly adapted for modern life:
- Comfortable bright bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms;
- The kitchen is equipped with everything you need;
- The house has a dishwasher and washing machine;
- The garden has a dining area and a clean swimming pool with sun loungers.
The host, Yvanna, is very kind, responsive, and ready to assist. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We stayed in the residence for just a couple of nights, but it was a fantastic experience. I would gladly stay here again for a longer period. Highly recommended for guests who appreciate architecture and history.

Our stay at the manor house is a time my family will always treasure. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the charm and grandeur of the property and the kindness of our hosts. The manor itself is a beautiful blend of historical significance and modern luxury. Every room is a testament to the careful preservation of the house and the hosts’ family history, creating an effortless harmony of old-world refinement and contemporary comfort. The care and consideration of our hosts was similarly evident, managing a perfect balance of attentiveness while giving us the space to remain immersed in the magic of our surroundings. Yvanna was incredibly welcoming, first giving us a brief history of the property then offering insightful recommendations about the many restaurants and activities in nearby Castelnaudary and Carcassonne. This house isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience—a rare opportunity to live for a time in a piece of history, with all the modern comforts one could desire. We left feeling rejuvenated and deeply appreciative of the history, beauty, and hospitality we encountered.

If you love Old World charm this is the place for you. It was built in the 1700s and has been lovingly restored by the owners, Yvanna and Jean-Pierre. It was just me and my husband and it was difficult to choose one of the three large, lovely bedrooms to sleep in! (There are also two small bedrooms.) We found the bedding to be very comfortable. There was a nice electric fireplace in our bedroom for heat, which also made it very pleasant. The hosts make sure their guests are quite comfortable with heating units throughout the house, which we did need as it was pretty chilly most of the week in April when we were here. The kitchen is well-equipped and exactly as the pictures show and we had some nice meals there. It was great to have the washer but there no is no dryer; however, Yvanna graciously gave us a portable dryer to hang our clothes on to dry, which was very helpful.Although this house is located out of town it’s not far from restaurants and shopping and Yvanna made some wonderful suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. The house is on equestrian property with horses grazing in their pasture, Yvanna and Jean-Pierre live in their own apartment on the property so you feel nice and safe, yet you have a wonderful sense of privacy here.
