Good place for our family, attractions to see around the area are 20-30 minute drive away. Quiet and scenic. Beds are uncomfortable, but it suited our needs. No AC, but cooled off at night and we weren't there during the day.
The cabin was nestled in the woods with very little road noise. The cabin is nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Motorcycle riders beware, once off the hiway it’s a little sketchy but passable. Just be careful. Some hard surface with some washouts and some grassy sections.
My family of 8 stayed in this wonderful cabin for a week while we explored Mount Rushmore and all the parks and wonders of SW South Dakota. My whole family enjoyed our time at the cabin.
We really enjoyed staying in the cabin. The view and property were beautiful. My kids loved the loft bunk room. It was nice to have the basement space as well. The kitchen was nicely supplied, and has space for all we brought. We relaxed on the deck often and my boys played basketball every day on the outdoor hoop. The location was awesome for the area. Two lakes close for evening fun or hot days, and centrally located to all the sites in the area. Our only complaint is that most of the mattresses were poor. The host was easy to communicate with as well. The dryer broke right before we came, so they installed a clothes line and offered a refund, and made me aware of a laundromat in town.

Inspired by European alpine travels our family built this cabin in 1992. We love the fresh pine smell of the Black Hills and peaceful surroundings that invigorate and give us respite from our daily lives.
