Beautiful property. Gorgeous views. Quiet but neighboring cabins too close. The kitchen could use more utensils. Toaster was broken. No large pots and pans. Smoke alarms and CO2 monitors went off frequently. No emergency phone number for property manager listed. We ran out of large trash bags and had to arrange a trash pick up 1/2 way through our stay. Fan over pool table needs to be balanced. Instructions for TV were very brief and we struggled trying to watch the Olympics.
Extremely negative experience from start to finish. Poor communication from the property owner. Warrants an investigation by VRBO to warn future renters about possible scam.
Booking: Changed from 5 nights to 4 nights and owner claimed they did not know how to refund the 5th night and planned to charge me the full price for 5 nights. Had to get VRBO customer service involved to teach the owner how to do a refund.
Arrival & check-in: Owner listed the incorrect address on property listing. Our group arrived at the wrong house and thought we were double-booked! Spent several hours thinking we were scammed out of several thousand dollars. VRBO was willing to issue a full refund and put us in a hotel, but quite disappointing to drive halfway across the country for a vacation home that doesn't exist. When the owner finally got in touch with me she corrected the address but claimed it was still VRBO's fault. Property manager of the other home was helpful, but was planning on filing a police report until I informed them of the VRBO error.
Accuracy of listing: Not accurate at all. On the morning of check-in the owner let me know that they had recently made several upgrades to the property. On arrival they were not all finished! The upstairs bunk room didn't even have the beds assembled...still in boxes! I paid for a 5 bedroom house, with a bunk room for kids. I got a 4 bedroom house. Several minors in our group ended up having to share beds.
I immediately notified the owner and asked her to remedy the situation by refunding me part of the total price for not having a 5th bedroom. Instead, her solution was to send handymen to the house while we were gone to assemble the furniture. She gave us virtually no notice, they handymen just let themselves into the house while we were gone, and they still only completed half of one bunk bed in over 3 hours time! I was very uncomfortable returning to the property to find the front door wide open and all of our possessions and valuables unsecured. I politely asked the handymen to leave in order to defuse an awkward situation. Later, the owner tried to accuse me of having my hand on a gun while talking to the handymen. That is an absurd slander. We did not have any firearms anywhere near the property.
After all of this, she still refused to refund me for the lack of a 5th bedroom. I would like to issue a formal complaint through VRBO and seek resolution. Numerous other issues, please see owner/renter chat in the app.

When this guest try to change from 5 days booking to 4 days booking I accommodate it without any issue . I changed the date but have no ideas why the amount is not changed . I was trying to figure out how to refund the one night .I never intended to keep the extra night fee if they only want the 4 night and when I finally figure it out . I refund them the extra night right away .
The property address is 1763 mountain shadows way. Not 1769 . I have no ideas they went to the different property and told me the place is double booked . I was in the mountain that day when they check in so the signal is not good . When I got their message I find a place has better signal so I called them right away and told the guest that they went to the wrong address . I never put the house at 1769 mountain shadows way.
We did ordered a custom made buck beds and since it’s custom made .it got delayed two day since all the funiture demanding . The beds just arrive the same day when the guest check in . I don’t want to brother them so I want to have my handyman to put together after they check out . We have 3 king size beds and 2 queen size bed which is enough to sleep 10 people . The guest only have 9 people in this trip when they input the Numebr of guest . The second day they called me said why there is only 4 bedroom and they need 5th bedroom . So I have my team handyman to go to out the beds together right away and informed the guest my people will be there . The beds are custom made so it’s difficult to put together .it takes time. When my team almost finished the first bed the guest asked my people to leave and they don’t need Thoes beds. So my guy has yo leave without finishing the bunk bed otherwise they will finish both of them. but the guest said they don’t need them.
We always try our best to accommodate and respond to the guest at our earliest convenience but seems like this guest just want to get some free night to stay.
We loved the location and sipping coffee every morning on the main floor deck. Amazing Mountain View’s.
We found the cabin to be clean and beds comfortable. We found the upstairs to get a little warm even with air on but nothing so uncomfortable that a fan couldn’t help.
The new bunk room is small but perfect for kids.
The kitchen had a new refrigerator. More then enough dinnerware for our large group. Has both drip coffee maker and Kuerig, which we appreciated.
Could use a hand mixer, baking sheets and new toaster in kitchen.
Plenty of extra blankets but could use more bath towels..
The grandkids loved playing pool and sitting in hot tub.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to rent again!
