Was a great place to relax at the end of the day. Perfect spot!
Was perfect size and perfect location. Close enough to go to the RMNP and back to relax without the tourist feel! Clean and cozy! Beautiful surroundings!!
The rustic charm of the cabin added to the romantic atmosphere and the night sky filled with shimmering stars was truly mesmerizing. The soothing sound of the river flowing nearby made it a memorable get way.
Since we rented two cabins, I guess I get two opportunities to say how great our stay was. If you didn't see my other review, read it. It basically said that we had a great time, especially by the river. The property is quiet and peaceful. The Hosts are great, very attentive, but you hardly know they are there. We loved playing cornhole and going for walks on the road. My preteen especially enjoyed climbing the rocks. There is no cell service, but the wifi is strong through the property. We will be back!
Definitely take a splash in the frigid creek, check out Rocky Mountain National park, hike to Miller Rock, and the insane views, and enjoy an evening walk along the Aspen lined road to spy a moose.
The cabin had everything we needed and was super comfy! Jason and Sarah are amazing hosts, they gave us inside scoop on hiking trails and anything else we needed. Loved it! We'll be back.
If you are looking for a cozy cabin outside the city - this is it! Pictures online are accurate- it’s just as cute as it appears on vrbo. The owners live in one of the cabins (there are 5 in total) and are helpful when needed but not intrusive. They even leave a little welcome basket for you with things like coffee. It is a nice drivable distance to RMNP, with quite a few close hikes that are amazing. It is a beautiful area. It is about a 30 min drive from Estes Park for shopping, restaurants, etc but that wasn’t a deterrent for us. I liked the quiet area. I would highly recommend this property!
We could not have loved this location and this quaint little cabin more. It's off the beaten path but still close to everything you need to get to for a great RMNP experience. A few highlights from our trip: We did the Ouzel Lake hike at the Wild Basin entrance which is about 10 mins from the cabin (highly recommend this hike!!). We had brunch at Mountain Meadow cafe in Allenspark just up the street (get the Denver or mushroom/swiss omelet!!). One of my favorite things was the drive to get to the cabin... Hwy 66 is breathtaking! I could have left after seeing those views and been content with just that! We enjoyed making a fire - it was so easy, everything you need is provided and ready to go. Another huge plus was the river just across the street! Since there isn't any A/C in the cabin, we slept with the window open to feel the cool breeze and fall asleep to the beautiful melody of the river!
If I had to give any negative comment, it would probably be the bed. It's certainly not the best and creeks with the tiniest movement but with everything else so great, it was easy to overlook. It would also be nice if all the windows could be used and had a screen. We were nervous to leave one of the windows open for fear of an animal coming in. Without A/C, the cabin could use a little airflow during the day. We were gone most of the day every day so it didn't bother us too much. (We stayed first week of June.)
You know you have found a winner place when traveling with family of four (which includes two college age students) and everyone gives it a resounding four fist bump 5/5 star review!
A wonderful stay in this adorable cabin. Made our trip to Colorado even more enjoyable. Close enough to the Rocky Mountain National Park to enjoy 3 days of hikes. Loved meeting the owners and hearing about the history of the cabins. Made it even more special!
I loved our stay at the cabin. I slept great with the creek sounds right out the bedroom. It's a peaceful atmosphere where you can be as active or just relax as much as you want. It's in a nice location in the middle of many things to see and do. Sara & Jason are great hosts. I would have loved to stay longer, but I guess I'll just have to take another trip ;)
We loved our cabin. It had all we needed. This was our home base for our trip to RMNP. Furnishings were perfect. Loved sitting by the river & having breakfast. The hosts were there for anything we might have needed. Loved hearing the river.
We had a fabulous time at this cabin, it was the perfect getaway for us. Everything was cozy and clean, the hosts even continued to deliver firewood to our cabin as the snow fell all weekend. We will definitely be coming back.
Our cabin was perfect! This was the exact getaway we needed and we had everything required to be happy and comfy while we stayed. The wood burning stove kept us warm and all of the decorating touches around the cabin made us happy everywhere we looked. We definitely want to stay here again!
