Awesome home in Menfi AG
This vacation cottage, the result of the renovation of an ancient agricultural building, is located 3 km from the town of Menfi, within a small private property and on a gentle hill that slopes down to the sea. Enjoy the quiet location with panoramic views of the countryside to the sea 4 km away (as the crow flies; 6 km by car). In front of the cottage are a large equipped terrace and a citrus plantation, next to the house is a well-equipped summer kitchen with large stering grill and pizza oven. Relax by the small oval pool! From the spacious living / dining room (satellite TV, HI-FI, air conditioning) with sofa bed you have two accesses to the outdoor area. The bedroom with double bed on the 1st floor (attic) has air conditioning. Simple but functional furnishings. Parking with remote controlled gate. Distances: 3 km Menfi (stores of all kinds), 6 km the sandy beaches of the village of Fiori; at about 10 km awaits one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline with rocky cliffs and sandy coves (nature reserve) and Portopalo, a famous tourist seaside resort with sandy beach and small marina; 12 km Selinunte (famous archaeological site); 18 km Sciacca, one of the most characteristic towns of the southwestern part of Sicily; 70 km Agrigento with the world famous "Valley of the Temples".

Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig
Wir waren zwei Wochen hier, und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! 2-3 km außerhalb von Menfi, in einer schönen Lage oberhalb des Meers. Wir haben zusätzlich Handtücher und Bettwäsche gebucht. Das Haus entspricht exakt der Beschreibung, beide Küchen (innen und außen) haben wirklich alles, was man benötigt – der Außenbereich wird mit dem Pizzaofen und dem Grillkohle/Holz-Grill fantastisch abgerundet. Das Frühstück gemütlich mit Blick auf den Pool eingerahmt von Oliven-, Zitronen-, Limetten- und Feigenbäumen – das hat etwas! Den frischen Fisch haben wir direkt in Menfi in einer Pesceria gekauft und abends in der Außenküche vorbereitet und gegrillt.
Der Pool wurde 2x wöchentlich sauber gemacht und bot tagsüber für die gewünschte Abkühlung, und abends beleuchtet war es ein tolles Urlaubsflair. Die Außendusche/-toilette ist genial. Das Innenbad ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber unterm Strich hat alles gepasst und auch funktioniert! Die Schlafzimmer sind klein, nur eins ist klimatisiert. Die Schränke/Möglichkeiten für das Aufhängen von Klamotten ist eher spartanisch.
Ein Minus müssen wir beim W-Lan geben, die Internet-Verbindung war nicht immer gegeben und auch nicht immer schnell (genug). Ein weiteres Minus gab es für die Abfallentsorgung, am vorletzten Tag wurden die bereits bei unserer Anreise vollen Mülleimer von der Gemeinde geleert. Hier kann die Vermieterin nichts für, aber es hat Einfluss auf das Gesamtbild. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett, sprachlich ist es aber schwierig, da wir kein Italienisch und sie nicht so gut Englisch spricht.
Die Entfernung zum Hausstrand von Menfi sind gerade einmal 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. Wenn man sich die Parkgebühren von 4 EUR pro Tag sparen möchte, parkt man etwas weiter weg und läuft dann zum Strand. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten inkl. dem Bäcker gibt es reichlich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Objekt. Der Strom wurde vor Ort bezahlt, bei 35 Cent / kWh hatten wir in 14 Tagen rd. 60 EUR.
Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und man kann das Haus bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschöne Finca für einen guten Preis
Meine Freundin und ich haben 10 Tage in dieser ruhigen, aber nah an Stränden gelegenden Finca verbacht. Man ist vollkommen für sich mit einem grandiosen Pool und Garten mit Oliven-, Orangen- und Limettenbäumen. Eine Außenküche samt Grill läd zum kochen ein. Das Haus kann man gut und gerne auch zu viert mieten.
Kommen sehr gerne wieder!
