Lovely accomodations just outside of town. The space is large, so a group of 4 would be quite comfortable. Has a big window and we saw the Aurora out of it one night. There's a microwave, toaster oven and k cup machine plus heated floors. Easy in and out of the property. Food, Walmart, etc within 15 minutes, an hour and 45 minutes from Chena Hot Springs. Just 15 minutes from a great walking trail at Skyline Ridge. We enjoyed our stay, definitely recommend.
We saw the pictures but were so impressed with all of the Alaskan decor complemented by the huge for poster bed and the delightful view out the picture window. We saw northern lights three times in our 13 day stay and enjoyed it very much!
Out of Fairbanks about 8 miles on a major highway. Good views , so we could sometimes see the Northern Lights from the property. It is a single large room with a minimal 'kitchen', microwave, full size fridge and freezer, toaster oven. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Also a pull-out couch, which we didn't use. The host was great - he knocked on the door to let us know when the Northern Lights were out the first night - greatly appreciated! A rustic decor, with stuffed animals galore. Highly recommend.
What an incredible experience! The amenities and ambience both surpassed my wildest dreams. The enormous space was immaculate, fully stocked, expertly decorated and completely comfortable in every way. Mark and Jade were attentive, accommodating hosts and considerate enough to lend me an extension cord for the car engine heater as well as allow me to add on an additional night to my stay. I can’t thank you both enough for your hospitality.
This was the perfect place for our northern lights adventure. It had the best set up, with a large north facing window where we could watch for the lights from the warmth of the indoors. We actually saw the lights twice and it was amazing. The host was incredibly helpful and responded very quickly to messages! The last night the host even came to let us know the lights were visible so we didn’t miss them. They were amazing, the place was amazing, the bathroom floor was heated. 10/10 would absolutely recommend this place!
So comfy I didn’t want to leave - and the weather did not cooperate so I hung out there a lot. Nice comfy bed & bedding. Spacious room with everything you’d need. Comfy recliner & sofa. Great satellite tv options. Warm & you don’t even need to go out if you’re looking to see Aurora - big picture window facing perfect direction. Very nice hosts, very responsive.
Nice country setting but close to several eateries & gas station. And if you wanted to head back to Fairbanks options, it’s a short beautiful drive.
Highly recommend
The room was large, comfortable, with dun decorations and close to things to do. The host is friendly and there when you need him but who otherwise will leave you alone to do your thing. Will try to stay at again if I can return.
What a wonderful facility full of Alaska! The owner is very friendly and kind. We can watch the northern lights through the wide and clear window. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.
It was very nice and plenty of space for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed. Plus, the location right off the expressway made a quick and easy drive to Fairbanks. I will definitely be back if I’m in the area.
My husband and I traveled to Fairbanks from Delaware via Houston, Texas. This place was north of town, peaceful and quiet. Amazingly prompt response to each request we had. We will always remember your generosity in sharing a handmade Black Spruce walking stick with my husband. A true home-away-from-home!

After a week in rustic cabins, Northstar Borealis Lights felt like a castle. Comfortable beds, plenty of space, and kitchen items (plasticwear, coffee and tea, even oatmeal) that were unexpected. Well worth the price - our best "deal" of our trip!
We had a delightful stay at this VRBO. The place was spotlessly clean and easy to locate, which made our arrival stress-free. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed, providing ample sleeping space and comfort.
One of the highlights of our stay was the charming decor featuring fish, moose, and bear-themed elements. These whimsical touches added character to the space and made us feel like we had some great companions during our visit.
The comfortable accommodations allowed us to rest well, leaving us refreshed and ready to continue our journey. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this place to other travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and uniquely decorated spot
