About this property
Sunrise Views Cabin with AC, Game Room & Bar
The interior of the cabin is beautifully covered with native pine boards. The living room, dining, kitchen and bar area all share an open space making it fun to cook and still interact with other guests or family members. The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV and two closets. There is also a peekaboo window to watch the sun rise. The second bedroom has two full over full bunk beds and according to our sons, the best mattresses they've ever slept on. There are 3 large windows to view the pond and a sliding glass door to the deck.
We just finished renovating the cabin adding a full basement downstairs. You can access it by going down the custom made spiral staircase. The custom made bar has everything you need, except the booze. Red, White, Whiskey, Champagne & Beer glasses are displayed on the custom made shelf. There's a mini fridge under the bar, an ice maker & martini mixer.
In the center of the game room is a custom made Olhausen pool table completely equipped with pool sticks, 9 & 8 ball racks, brush & stand. We keep it covered when not in use.
There's also a PacMan 1 Up arcade with 12 different games on it that our boys enjoy competing for the highest rank. We also added a Legends Pinball game with 22 games on it.
We just added a karaoke machine.
There's a jukebox that plays music and can be heard throughout the entire camp. It plays Lps, 45s, Cds & Bluetooth.
In the back corner is the reading nook complete with couch, pillows, books, card games & puzzles. You can lay on the couch and watch the birds or just rest.
There's also a cornhole set at the cabin.
Summertime:
There is no lifeguard, so swimming & kayaking are at your own risk. We highly recommend you bring your own swimming shoes but we do have some at the cabin that you can use. We do provide life jackets and there are 4 kayaks. Hermon pond is great for kayaking, fishing & listening & exploring the wildlife. Kayak your way off to the right there is a little river that you can paddle through that connects to Hampden pond. It's a beautiful & peaceful little adventure. We posted photos of our trip on this listing. Bring your own boat or skidoo and launch it at one of the boat ramps.
Wintertime:
Bring your own snowmobile and you can ride right from the cabin onto Hermon pond and access the many snowmobile trails. Bring your ice fishing equipment and watch for the flags from the cabin. Hermon Mountain is only 5 minutes away. It's a family owned mountain offering skiing & tubing. They also rent out skis as well. Visit their website at skiihermonmountain.com
We installed two heat pumps for both floors and it provides plenty of heat during the colder months and wonderful AC for those hot summer days.
Information on Hermon Pond:
Fishes

The cabin sits on .25 acres and has a large yard for playing games or laying in the sun. Lay on the hammock and let the breeze rock you to sleep. You can hear loons calling at any time of day and the frogs croaking at night. This is our home away from home and we love it and hope you will enjoy it as well.

Beautiful property with a spacious open cabin. Didn’t get to enjoy all it has to offer with the pond still iced over but the game room was nice to come back to.
What an excellent property. Check in was easy, they even told us we could come about an hour early. The house has everything needed and then some, thank you for an amazing stay we would love to come back.
We used the cabin to enjoy our first few days without the kids ever, getting there before summer really meant we had the most tranquil spot we could imagine
The beautiful view, quiet neighborhood was just what we needed to recharge. Enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and pool table. Close enough to civilization, but remote enough.
It was a beautiful location. It has a lot to do without even leaving the property. We would definitely consider coming to this location again.
The hostess was most helpful, she responded to request promptly.
House was awesome! Located in a very quiet spot on the lake with an short drove to bangor made it worth every penny! The house offeres plenty to do, but with plenty more to do nearby! Was a great stay and we hope to come back again!
The perfect getaway! The home was very clean and had a warm cabin feel. The host was very responsive. My husband enjoyed fishing on the lake. It was so peaceful. We will definitely visit again!
We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect. My mom and the rest of us are life long Stephen King fans, so we brought her to Bangor for her 60th! The view from the back deck is beautiful. We loved listening to the loons, and watching all the birds and squirrels
.
This cabin has it all, great location to visit Bangor/Brewer, easy drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Lake is nice and peaceful, not crowded with boat traffic. When the kids finally came in, the game room area was perfect to unwind. I impressed my daughter with my PacMan skills! Cabin is super clean and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need with plenty of room. Also the lot is large with nice open green space. Can’t wait to visit again.
This was one of my most relaxing stays I have ever had even with teenagers🤣 The property was in a quite location and was well equiped so everyone was busy. Not once on this trip did I hear I'm bored. The house was neat and tidy. And the owner was kind and patient with my changes and needs. I would love to come back some time soon.
The communication with the property manager was fantastic! Couldn't have asked for a better host. They even mailed us a blanket that we left behind. The place was very cosy for our family of 5 and the downstairs game room was very cool. Didn't have a chance to take advantage of the pond and kayaks, but they were available. A very clean and comfortable place to stay. Thanks so much.
This place is awesome! Good sized house for family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. We loved having enough kayaks for us to all go out on the water and some fishing gear that my kids absolutely loved. It's close enough to amenities but far enough to appreciate the privacy and quiet. It's perfectly situated near the end of a dirt road, so you have tons of privacy and also a bunch of space to move around. Everything in the house is very well thought out. The lighting, decor and amenities are great. Of course you go for the lake activities but it was really nice to be able to chill out inside, cook and watch TV when you just want to relax. Lastly, the game room is phenomenal. Having 2 teenage boys of course we struggle with having them want to hang out. We played pool, darts and arcade literally every night with them and it was awesome. Would definitely rent again!
A bunch of us stayed here for my sister's 60th. Her and her boys and their ladies all love to ice fish. This place was perfect!! It was very clean, had everything we needed to stay there, all the beds were ready to sleep in, the kitchen was stocked with everything but food, and the little touches like the s'mores tin and the snack basket made it even better. For ice fishing, this was perfect, because you have a perfect view of the lake from either upstairs or downstairs, and downstairs offers easy access to get outside to check the traps. The gameroom was VERY well used during our visit. We loved the pool table, the variety of games & puzzles, the bar with ice maker, and the cool juke box. Our host was very nice and incredibly responsive to any and all inquiries, as well as informative about anything we needed to know in advance of our stay. I loved the welcome book, so we knew exactly what to expect and what was expected of us during our stay and when we left. Highly recommend this place for your ice fishing adventure (I'm sure it's amazing in the summer too). I'm already planning on booking it again next winter!!
The Sunrise Views Cabin had everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was very clean. And the room was a blast. Jennifer was easy to contact and quickly responsive. We would stay again without hesitation!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin in the lake. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe it. Our very first morning, I went to drink my coffee out on the upper deck, and a bald eagle lit out of the tree above me and glided out over the water. It was like a scene from a movie. The number of amenities at this property is amazing! Our experience here was flawless. I absolutely recommend this location to anyone ready to experience a quiet, relaxing time on the lake!
They property was great! We had a girls hiking trip to Baxter State Park and Acadia. The property was located in a great location to be able to get to both. Kayaking around the lake was great. The host also has a lot of pamphlets with things to do around the area that was helpful. Everything you need for cooking and entertainment. The only thing was we didn't have enough couch space to fit 5 adults on the upstairs couch to watch movies/relax, had to sit at the counter or floor for that. There is only one bathroom mirror and master bedroom mirror, it would be great to have one in the bunk bed room as well. Bunkbeds worked for 3 adult women and the sunrise was beautiful from that room. Overall, very happy with the stay and would definitely come back!
My family of six thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hampden lake house! The house was clean and stocked with everything you could ever need- from kayaks, fishing poles, water shoes and life jackets to a fully stocked kitchen and game room. We spent our days out on the lake and the evenings in the game room. The location was easy to get to and not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia. Great communication with the property owners! The only suggestion would be to hang curtains in the room with bunk beds.
Enjoyed property. The only thing that was odd is that there is a property behind and there are no blinds or curtains in the 2nd bedroom. Would have liked a little more privacy.
