Clean home with fabulous views. We enjoyed the hot tub and the comfortable bed. Friendly hosts and easy check in and check out process! We highly recommend this place!
Unfortunately the host could not control the weather, as we were hoping for snow but we had a wonderful time. The home is cozy and the views are beautiful. Dinner at The Lodge was fantastic. Hot tub was great.
Cozy cabin home with a private feel and great views, exactly as pictured. The was very communicative, helpful, and flexible throughout our entire stay. There are many homes in Black Butte Ranch, but this one is unique in that you aren’t just looking at another house. Views of the meadow were serene. Our girls loved the little kid room and everyone slept great. Hot tub was wonderful under the stars!
This home at Black Butte Ranch is comfortable, and spacious with all of the amenities. Great views from the deck and access to all that BB has to offer.
Beautiful and quiet, located on a meadow near the edge of the ranch. We’ve stayed in many properties at Black Butte Ranch over the years, but this was certainly the most serene. Excellent communication with the owner. A pet friendly home is what we need and we found in this home.
Wonderful retreat-like house that sits looking out onto a majestic meadow beneath the towering figure of Black Butte. The house is clean, well designed, and comfortable for a group of 4-6.
This is a beautiful home with gorgeous views through the many large windows in the house. The host had excellent communication throughout the stay and was easily accessible. I hope to return every autumn.
We are thrilled the property owners were willing to share their gem of a home with us. It was a great size for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to be together or on their own, but not one of these oversize places with lots of space you don't need. The views and peaceful nature of the locale are hard to beat.
The house is in a beautiful setting with decks overlooking the meadow and lake. Lots of wildlife if you’re patient and have keen eyes. Very quiet if you want to avoid the bustle of places close to the activity centers. Had everything we needed for cooking. Very comfortable. Had a great week there.
Great place. Only suggestion is that this great home is probably best for families with younger kids or shorter single travelers as there are 4 twin beds and only one bed that sleeps 2 folks (in the master). My tall son 6’3” didn’t like the fact there was a footboard that made the bed length shorter than his height. Not a critique of the great place just make sure you have the beds you need!

Thank you for your review Kristy and appreciate your stay with us! My apologies that the footboard in bedroom #2 may have caused any inconvenience for your son. I assure you it is a standard twin size bed and frame.
We greatly enjoyed the natural, peaceful setting. Deer, turkeys, Steller's jays, elk bugling, and other animal action made every day special. The online information and photos accurately convey what to expect here. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the house overall, and the TV subscriptions covered all that we wanted. We found just enough towels but not enough washcloths. The washer, dryer, and hot tub were very good, but we were unable to get the gas grill up to a useful temperature. All of us would love to return some day.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! We will make sure we stock the home with more wash clothes and look into the grill. Thank you so much for the feedback and we look forward to having you back in the future!
Overall the property was enjoyable. Pros:The view was fantastic and overall the property was very clean. Appeared that most of the furniture inside was new. Cons: The hot tub was difficult to enter with no step to get in/out. Kitchen tools could use a refresh of stock as it felt limited, but plenty of variety of pots/pans. Back patio furniture was definitely showing wear and tear.
We’ve rented many houses in Black Butte and this by far has the best view. It was a great house top to bottom and was especially great for a family with kiddos. We had a little problem with the hot tub and were so grateful that Matt immediately jumped in and got it resolved. We hope to rent again soon!
We loved our time here. It was perfect for our family of five, and woulda comfortably accommodated more.
The property is perfectly located in a quiet section of the Ranch with beautiful views of the Glaze Meadow off the back porch. We loved enjoying our coffee out here in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening.
The home is well stocked and Matt was a fantastic host. Super communicative and eager to help us have a great stay.
We loved it!
Great location with wonderful view of Black Butte with the pond and meadow in the foreground. We saw horses, geese and a coyote through the large windows.
This property is located in a quieter area of Black Butte overlooking a serene meadow. The house is well laid out and well supplied. Matt was super easy to communicate with. We have stayed at many different houses in BB over the years, and this house is truly special.
Really lovely place with fantastic views. We’d love to come back

About the host
Hosted by Matt McCabe
Hello, my name is Matt and my wife is Nicole. We have three young children and all love spending time outdoors. We want to share this amazing home on glaze meadow with others in the hope that you will make as many amazing memories staying here as we have.
Why they chose this property
Black Butte holds a special place in our hearts. It has so many great fun activities all within the family friendly gated community. We love family bike rides, going to the pool, and watching the wildlife from our back porch. We purchased this property due to its amazing location on Glaze Meadow. These properties rarely are available for rentals but we want to share this special property with others when we are not using it.
What makes this property unique
The location!!!! Sit on the back deck enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine watching horses play in the meadow and deer meandering. All the while, surrounding by tall pine trees and seeing Black Butte across the meadow in the distance.
