Lake Front deep water home with private dock. The property is a secluded house "Away from it all." Well maintained, bright, cheery, home with vaulted ceiling, large lot on Great Creek. House is completely furnished for your stay.

2 Adult and 2 Kid kayaks are provided for guest use.
Located only 4 miles from I-85 Exit 4. Beautiful wide creek is great for water skiing, jet skiing, fishing and just cruising in your boat (rental boats located nearby) and access to main lake just minutes away. House has deck with umbrella table, chairs and charcoal grill.

The house is recently renovated, clean and well appointed with nice decor. The neighbors are close but there is a wooded barrier that makes it feel secluded. The fire pit is a fantastic amenity. The dock had a lovely expansive view. It was too cold for swimming but looked like that would be a fantastic option during the summer.

My husband, fur baby and I really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and quiet just like we had hoped. Renting the home was seamless and the host was very accommodating and informative in providing local spots to check out.The home was clean, we did have to use the blower upon arrival because of the fallen leaves on the deck and front steps. Aside from that, very clean and tidy.Great home!

Arrived at house. Had not been cleaned. Messaged the host and he found out cleaner had been in an auto accident. He quickly arranged for a cleaner to come next morning and issued a slight refund. Host was right on every message i sent him. Everything was great otherwise and it was really no big deal.

Wonderful property. Great communication with property manager.

This is a nice, quiet location on the lake. The boat house is set up great to spend time on the dock. Kids loved swimming off the deep end of the dock. Directions for home use were great and easy check in/check out. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Family Weekend of Fishing at the Lake

This was our second stay at this house. The updates that had been done are great and the fishing was plentiful from the dock. We caught catfish, bass, sunfish and striped perch. Even used the paddle boat - the kids enjoyed that. Will be back again! Thanks Chris, it was a smoothe booking, check-in and check-out.

NIce time.....

A lovely and relaxing retreat. The beds were comfy and we really enjoyed our time there between visiting family and friends. Fishing, lounging, watching the boats and wildlife. There was a snafoo with the cleaning....so we stayed up and had to do it ourselves the first night. The owner was great and gave me a refund for cleaning. He was responsive to any and all questions. It was really delightful

Okay but not worth the added fees

Property decor is nice and house was large enough to accommodate our family. Depth at dock is around 6 feet deep so kids can jump in cautiously and play.*Note that you must take all your trash with you when leaving. To my surprise we had to take all of our trash with us when we left. While the host provides instructions on a place to dump your trash near 85 that is great for people traveling that way... we were not. Carpet and LVP looked updated but the rest of the house needs TLC. Living Room has three different paint colors (two colors are slapped on the wall in a small area like they stopped mid renovation). The back door is peeling badly. Missing drain in bathroom sink. Master shower has a large patch on the shower pan which still feels like you could fall through the floor. Large dead tree branches in the yard and a blue tarp covering a dirt pile as you walk towards the dock.Safety Concerns: Dry rotting deck board, ladder is cracked/broke at weld joint on right side. Umbrella stand is not secured to decking properly. Kayaks worked good for what we wanted to do however the seat backs are all broken. Housekeeping: Linens and bathrooms were very clean. No towels in hall bathroom, they were left in the dryer. Clean dishes were in the dishwasher when we arrived. Used coffee and beans were not cleaned out of the coffee pot. Grill not cleaned. Spider webs in corners of living room and main bedroom. Wash sponge dirty and no trash bags available. Cabinets need cleaning

VDH Advisory for Lake Gaston

Our trip was sunk by the recent chemical spill in Lake Gaston tributaries and resulting advisory that essentially shut down the lake which can be found on lgancva.com. We found out about the advisory from a neighbor that stated all the home owners had received a notification via email. Being from out of town, we had not seen the advisory as it was only reported in the local news. The property owner never directly answered our request for a refund and instead stated his opinion that currents could keep the pollutants out of that particular cove and also cited his house keeper’s opinion that everything was fine. In consideration for my family’s health I chose to side with the state scientists and leave early because without the lake there’s not a lot for a family vacation in that area. So, if you have upcoming trips to this area you might want to consider canceling until the water situation is resolved. Besides all of that, the house was ok for the one night we stayed there.
