About this property
Beautiful house / charming Island / great fishing, manatees, dolphins. NO LANAI
Grandpa Rudy first came to Pine Island in 1954 and our family has been coming ever since! Grab a cup of coffee (tea or adult beverage) and take a seat around the fire pit, the walk-around deck, or anywhere on the property that the fruit and coconut trees grow to start your "island time".
The Key West style home is one of the only 4 bedroom, 4 bath homes for rent on the island. 2 master bedrooms and a 3rd bedroom with twin beds are on the main level. A separated 4th is bedroom is downstairs with a private entrance. Our favorite spot in the house is the deck that overlooks the pool/hot tub. We hope you enjoy sitting on the deck, having a cup of joe with the doors open letting the island breeze in as much as we do.
Pine Island is a fisherman's paradise so bring - or rent - a boat and use the available dock space to store it. Or toss a line in the canal in the backyard. Snook, red fish, trout, flounder, sheepshead, mackerel, and jack are plentiful but you never know what you'll catch!
Pine Island has so much to offer - nature paths, fantastic restaurants (our favorite pizza comes from the Ragged Ass), kayak launch spots, a bike path that extends the length of the Island. Historic Matlacha is nearby and Cape Coral and Fort Myers have plenty to offer! Enjoy 3 beach cruisers to peddle around the Island and see the sights at a slower place. The lanai features a screened in pool with plenty of pool tools and floaties to spend an afternoon - or many afternoons - splashing around.
From the walk around boat dock, see the mullet flopping in the canal or the egrets, blue heron and osprey flying overhead (perhaps wandering into the yard). We have a lovely family of ducks that return yearly to say hello. Armadillos also come on over for a visit. Manatees meander by most days and you'll likely see dolphins putting on a show for a captive audience.
We hope you come, stay awhile and enjoy the vibes as much as we do. We offer a discount for monthly rentals (holidays excluded). Don't forget to bring the pups!

Wasn't what we thought we were renting
Pictures of property very old, exposed wires inside and outside of the house, beach sitting area was totally full of weeds, yard had not been mowed in weeks. These things are just general maintenance that should be taken care of weekly.

It wasn't like all the pictures
I booked in Feb. 3 months + after the hurricane. I was never notified of any changes. I paid the same price but with some of the major things gone. No hot tub, wasn't even safe. Bricks moved and it leaked visable water. The 4th bedroom wasn't exactly sleepable with a smell. Exposed wires in the path of the private beach area. Had the pool person there and leave the hose on. Then construction persons come up and banged on the door for a bit one morning. We had a good time despite. I hate that I messaged them with no response after our stay. These were all minor things that i wasnt allowong to affect what left of the stay we had. We made the best with what we had and lived the town. The home etc just really wish the price woukd have been adjuated accordingly since so many amenities you offered were gone. Communication is key and I didn't get any.

Great property, needs TLC
Property is as shown, but has not been fully maintained. Screens around pool were broken; pool had not been serviced and was unusable for most of our stay. Dryer never worked, one toilet overflowed. Owners were very quick to address some, but not all, of these problems.
Wonderful place! Had everything we could imagine and more! Plenty of space ,pool very enjoyable, fishing off the pier was fun! Host communicated quickly for any questions we had! We had a manatee come visit us along with ducks and a dolphin! Hope to come back sometime!! 5 star
A absolutely lovely home! We have stayed in other homes in the area and this by far was the best! Paradise at it's best! Bryan and Mindy are super people, we are grateful to have been welcomed to stay in their home.
House was nice and had an open layout that was also child friendly. Bedrooms were nice too. Pool had a connected hot tub and lights but we got unlucky with some extra cold weather and the pool/hot tub heater wouldn't work after the first day, we think because it was too cold at night. It kicked on the night before we left. It was a little disappointing but our daughter still swam for a bit in the cold pool each day. The bar and billiards area down by the pool was a neat hangout spot with a large tv. The hosts were nice, they helped us figure some things out and we're easy to get a hold of. We just wish we had some warmer weather and got to enjoy there pool/ hot tub a little more.
We've been spending the holidays on Pine Island for years, and have to say this place is our favorite! The place has EVERYTHING! On the water, boat lift, POOL, bikes and kayaks. The house is set up perfectly with masters on both ends with full baths. Bryan and Mindy were great to deal with and we never had to contact them about anything. Just book next year!
