Vacation 2023

We enjoyed our stay, very spacious for our group of 12 people. Plenty of room inside for all of us and the yard was very nice to be able to be outside. The only thing that I would suggest needs improvement is the cleaning service that they have. And to stock the bathrooms with enough toilet paper. There were 2 rolls per bathroom for 12 ppl staying 7 days. we had to go out and buy that, which is fine, but those items should be stocked and you shouldn't have to worry about getting that. I was in contact with the owners the whole time through text messaging. I had no issues with that, very responsive. Other than the cleanliness of the home, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Gold Star Accommodations!

What a great beach property! The house was lovely with super comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the location - walking distance to town, the beach, and Ocean Park. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. Chris was super responsive and we worked something out to bring a second puppy with us. The yard is a fantastic bonus with an outdoor seating area, a fire pit, and space enough to throw a ball around. This has been our favorite beach house!

Family Meeting Beach Week

My husband and I rented this property for my parents, his parents, his sister and fiancee, and my sister, brother-in-law, and their 5 mo old son. We had our dog in the mix too. It was a smooth rental/check-in process. Communication was easy. The house was is great condition. We were able to check in early after running our race that morning. It is a nice quiet neighborhood and a quick 8-minute walk to the beach. The two fridges were handy for feeding 10 people. The mini splits in each room were so great for keeping our aging parents happy with their specific climate preferences. The house had everything we needed and made for a great first combined family vacation.

Great house and location

First the hosts were gracious and very responsive to inquiries and ensuring all went smoothly. This is a great house - worked beautifully for 8 adults. The location is ideal - nice easy walk to town and beach. Thank you for a fabulous week!

Great Family Home

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Plenty of seating inside and out. Really appreciated having a washer and dryer. The owners were very responsive with our questions. Would definitely stay again!

Hi!

My name is Chris and I'm a Maine native born in Portland and grew up in Gorham, ME not too far from OOB. My girlfriend, Susan, is from NH, but is fast becoming a big fan of Maine. We're pretty easy going and love sharing the great state of Maine with newcomers, especially those who have never been here before!

In my spare time I spend a lot of time with family and friends and love finding new adventures. Some of my favorite past times are enjoying the outdoors when it is warm, and playing cribbage or finding rare pinball machines out and around New England when it's not.

I built houses with my dad when I was a kid. A handful of them were on Chebeague Island. We would stay in a tent often while we were putting up the frame out there. I learned a lot from him on how to do much of the work myself, so most of the place was refurbished by yours truly, of course, also with loving guidance from my dad.

Why they chose this property

We found this gem during the pandemic, 2021. The street is quiet, the neighbors are great, and there is so much to do in the area from the beach and pier, to the quick drive up to Portland, or down to Kittery. OOB is about as centrally located as you can get for the southern Maine coastline.
