Located just 20 miles from Dodge Ridge Skiing and 59 miles from Yosemite National Park, you'll have endless opportunities for outdoor activities. Inside, enjoy the rustic charm of a wood-burning stove, pine ceilings, and breathtaking views of the surrounding pines and sunsets. Plus, with a brand-new central AC system installed last year, you'll stay comfortable no matter the season. And we’re pet-friendly, so your four-legged companions are welcome to join the fun!

On the entry level, you'll find a spacious kitchen equipped with modern appliances and rich wooden cabinetry, making meal preparation a delight. Adjacent to the kitchen is a welcoming dining area perfect for family meals or cozy dinners. The great room is the heart of the cabin, featuring plush seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a charming wood-burning stove set against a beautiful stone backdrop. The primary suite on this level offers a serene retreat with comfortable bedding and ample storage. Downstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms and a second bath, providing plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind.

For indoor fun, our cabin is packed with entertainment options for the whole family. At home, you won't run out of things to do with our Infinity Game Table, retro Atari console, and a versatile foosball, air hockey, and ping pong table. Enjoy a game of corn hole, dive into our collection of board games and puzzles, or relax with a good book. For families with little ones, we've provided a pack-and-play, stroller, baby gates, high chair, and a variety of children's toys and books to keep them entertained.

The Twain Harte area is rich with natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Enjoy the great outdoors with our extensive array of outdoor amenities designed to enhance your stay. Relax on the spacious deck, where you can soak in the serene views of the surrounding pines and stunning sunsets. The deck features comfortable seating, perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing. For those who love to cook outside, there's a BBQ grill ready for family cookouts. The large yard offers plenty of space for outdoor games, including corn hole, and is ideal for kids and pets to play. *** Twain Harte Lake and Community Activities ***

Enjoy a scenic walk around Twain Harte Lake via the service road just behind the house. While the lake is private, you can still hike around its perimeter. For lake activities, we recommend visiting Pinecrest Lake. If you're interested in accessing Twain Harte Lake, we have a partner cabin with lake membership—just send us a message for more details.

Within a mile of the cabin, you'll find the Twain Harte Community Pool, tennis courts, mini golf, and golf course. The community pool's availability is posted on their website and will be closing for the season on Sept 26th. Pool fees are as follows:

Ages 3-17: $2.00
Ages 18-61: $3.00
Ages 62+: $2.00
Family Fee: $8 per family (up to 2 adults and 5 children)
Non-Swimming Parent Free with paid child. Children under 3 are free.


*** Wildlife and Nature Considerations ***

You're in nature! This is bear country, so please dispose of trash in bins and avoid leaving food outside. While bear sightings are rare, they do occasionally come into town. You may also encounter various insects and wildlife around the property. Sometimes, nature can even find its way inside.


*** Property Rules and Safety ***

No smoking, vaping, or candles are allowed on the property, both inside and outside. Due to the high fire hazard in our area, this includes the decks and driveway. Any sign of smoking anywhere on the property will result in a $500 charge.

If you plan to charge your electric vehicle, please notify us, as it incurs an additional $50 per charge due to the high cost of electricity.


*** Winter Weather and Trip Insurance ***

At high altitude, we may get snow in the winter. While the road to the home is plowed, we recommend all guests carry chains. Snow removal from the property is not provided by the hosts, but shovels and salt are available for guests.

Due to the remote location and variable weather, we recommend trip insurance. Weather conditions can lead to being snowed in/out, loss of power, or road closures. We do not accept liability for these situations or any other issues beyond our control and are unable to provide refunds.
