We throughly enjoyed this place! In person was even better than the pictures and description. The onsite manager was above and beyond. The kitchen was amazing. Beautiful and peaceful! We had the best stay! Mountain range 360 view!
This is such a unique property. We were in Bozeman for graduation weekend which is always so busy. We were thankful to be out in the country yet close to everything at the same time. We loved the rustic but at the same time modern feel of the house. It fit our family of 9 perfectly. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely stay. We rented the barn and other family members rented the main house. We were visiting for a wedding and this was a great location; close to the airport and downtown. The house is well stocked with anything you need. One caution if you have young children the spiral staircase has wide bars so use caution. Our 4 year old granddaughter did fine with them but always under supervision. The host Dianne and property manager Sharon were very helpful and responded qquickly to any questions.
What an amazing location – the views go on forever which is getting harder to find in Bozeman. The barn itself is so wonderful, spacious yet cozy at the same time. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and found the kitchen more than up to the task - beautifully stocked. Beds were very comfortable as was seating in the living room. Bathrooms are lovely. It was a bit chilly for our visit but we look forward to enjoying the outdoor space, decks etc on another visit. And having DirecTV was great to be able to watch Thanksgiving football. Dianna was so helpful and made sure that we were familiar with all the appliances etc. Just an incredibly lovely stay.
The entire family wanted to bring our son back to MSU this fall for his senior year. We love Bozeman and saw this “barn” on vrbo. The pictures made it look amazing—but let me say—the pictures don’t do it justice. It was AMAZING. Truly felt Montana to us. Bill and Dianna could not have been better hosts. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. We had 4 kids with us ages 17-22—some are definitely “city” kids. They LOVED it. There is no way to put a price on the quality family time—bonfires, lots of card playing—NUMEROUS pics taken by the kids, ice cream for dinner and being greeted daily by Spud the yellow lab—made for a trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some true Montana peace and quiet ❤️
I almost don’t want to write my true feelings about our stay at Heritage Ranch out of pure selfishness—but then it wouldn’t be fair to others who deserve the chance to experience what we did.If you’re looking for 360 degree mountain views, the feeling of being tucked away in your own private enclave, yet still want the convenience of being in downtown Bozeman in under 15 minutes, this is the place. The Barn is fabulous—charming, unique, and exceptionally well appointed. We’ve stayed in many rental properties over the years and around the world, and our family unanimously voted this one the best. It truly has it all: charm, location, breathtaking views, comfort, and thoughtful amenities. The icing on the cake is Dianna, who is an amazing host. She is incredibly thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely made us feel right at home. And then there’s Spud, her English Lab, who was the highlight of the ranch - which is saying a lot coming from someone who is usually terrified of dogs!We can’t wait to return.
The renovated horse barn was wonderful and our hosts were extremely accommodating. The views from the property are remarkable and it is such a cool space to stay in. One thing to know is that there is a second rental house on the property just 30 feet away which had guests in it while we were there. There are also some glamping tents a bit further away.
