Well kept cabin on a beautiful secluded property. Caught some fish in the shallow Cut River and had a blast canoeing. There were many other vessels available as well. If you're interested in visiting this place, just book it you won't regret it.
The cabin, property and amenities were great. We had fun and relaxed on the river. Even though the weather was less than great we enjoyed relaxing and just hanging around the cabin.
This property is a wonderful break from the crowded noise of campgrounds and cabins close together. With a river running through it. This is the perfect place to relax off the grid. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!
We spent a long weekend at the cabin right after Christmas and we had an amazing experience. The river is much closer to the cabin than what I anticipated and the windows from the cabin show a beautiful view! The cabin was clean and cozy with enough room for all six of us and our two German shepherds. It was such a relaxing place that I never wanted to leave. We can't wait to go back!
We loved the cabin and enjoyed our stay. The wood burning stove kept the cabin warm despite it being the middle of February. The property is beautiful with the river steps away. We're already planning on going back later this year and taking advantage of the canoes.
We had a great time at this cozy rustic cabin. The fire was lit when we arrived with plenty of wood to burn. It had everything that we needed. The kids loved going into the sauna. At night we had never seen so many stars in the sky.
I took my 20 yr old son and 2 dogs with me for 3 days "off-grid". Only disappointment was I had cell service but the cabin and property were amazing, from the riverside cabin the the wood fired sauna, it was a great weekend. Be sure to get up at sunrise to listen to the 1,000's of birds, the gobble of the Turkeys and the calling of the Coyotes. Already planning my next trip.
We had a wonderful weekend stay with our dog. Multiple canoes and kayaks were available. The river is so peaceful and easy to navigate. Very private, lots of birds, the stars were incredible at night. The porch was my favorite place. We ate all of our meals there. If you are like me and enjoy almost all aspects of camping except sleeping in a tent, this is the perfect rental for you. It was clean and thoughtfully equipped and communications were very good! Thank you so much for sharing and thank you for letting us bring our dog too. She thought she was in heaven!

Disliked: Check-in
Seclusion at it's best.
The cabin was as remote as stated and it felt amazing. Over the three days of our trip, we have one visitor float by on a canoe. Hiking on this property was incredible and so much wildlife. This area has an optimal rating for dark sky and stargazing did not disappoint. We also enjoyed watching the sunrise and all the activity of the songbirds. The canoes provided at the cabin made exploring the Cut River so much fun. The cabin was clean and Jason was on hand to greet us and answer any questions. The views from the cabin are stunning and we are grateful they opened it up for visitors! You don't even realize you are missing "on-grid" amenities because you are in a stunning location. And if you do need something, town is just a few dirt roads away.
I gave a poor rating on check-in, Unfortunately, Jeremy did not provide us any check-in instructions (he was off the grid up in the UP and forgot to send them our way) and we missed our first day at this cabin. At this point, we are still waiting on our refund for our missed day. Leading up to our stay, communication with Jeremy was great and very responsive.
Verizon customers, you will have excellent cellular reception.

Julie we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our off grid cabin.
Unfortunately our check in instructions are automatically sent out by VRBO and sometimes end up in the guests junk email. However we did receive your calls from 11pm and 5am the night before your stay, however these times are outside of our normal business hours.
As you are aware w you have received a refund for one night minus the additional pet that wasn’t paid for.
Thanks

Rustic Experience That Allows For the Simple Things in Life to Be Appreciated
What a unique place! If you want to get away from everything and take a step back in time, this is your vacation! This is not a luxury hotel, it is more of a pioneer-type experience. The cabin is set on a very remote piece of land. It offers cozy comforts, yet is very basic and will rekindle simple joys you’ve all but forgotten.
Nothing beats being warmed by a wood stove, playing board games, making fond memories with your loved-ones by candlelight! We had such a wonderful weekend unplugged.
Because we wanted an authentic experience, we used the wood stove to both warm stew, and one night, baked the tastiest foil-wrapped potatoes inside it! We also so much appreciated the fresh well water with pitcher-pump right in the kitchen!
The owner has outfitted the cabin with a generator as well as some battery powered lights for those who prefer a bit more conveniences, but we preferred to live in the past and didn’t want to use them. We enjoyed the candlelight and quiet instead.
During the daylight, we took walks, used the canoes, enjoyed the unspoiled scenery.
What we most loved about this place was how private the property was, how completely untouched the land has been kept, and experiencing what it may have been like living years ago. This entire experience is like none other! Thank you Jeremy!

Thank you John. You and your family definitely used the property to its full potential and we’re great guests. We will see you again next season
Super secluded. Rustic cabin but with some great amenities. The river is right off the back patio and has crystal clear waters. Property owner was very helpful with all the information we needed. Lots of people asking about where this place was based on the pictures we were taking.
If you are looking for a remote getaway look no further. We visited with our two teenage girls and 2 dogs. Everyone had a great relaxing time and the location is beautiful. The only company is an occasional kayak down the beautiful river. Jeremy was so nice and helpful and even contacted us a couple times during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.
If you are looking for a great place to get away and enjoy the outdoors, this is the place! Jeremy was an excellent host. Property was exactly as described. The pitcher well takes a few pumps to prime, but then you get great tasting water....no worries about sulfer. Honestly one of my favorite trips I have taken and my girlfriend and I plan to head back next year!
