Beautiful views

Great location, great views! Weather was unusually warm, so the inside was warm. Couldn't leave doors open, bugs flew in. Nice place for family gathering.

Summer rental

We shared our rating and concerns with Vacasa as well. The home is probably fine/ok during ski season and when outdoor daily high temperatures are below 60 degrees. However, owner and host should have disclosed that indoor temperatures average 82-86 degrees from 3-9pm on sunny days when outdoor temperatures are above 60-65 degrees. If owner wants to rent more during summer months, they should at least install some door or window screens in strategic locations to allow for air flow and given that largest rooms have windows facing west. Otherwise, the home is not suitable for summer rental (unless renters are fine with indoor heat described above). We opened windows / doors at times, but then bees, etc would fly into the house. We ended up checking out one week into a two week stay, and (as of now) did not receive any refund. The home also had an ant problem (which I tried to address by buying some traps), and was dated and a bit musty. However, the only showstopper was 0 disclosure of 0 screens / air flow which caused daily indoor temp in the 80s. Thank you.

Great location!

We have now stayed at this property a few times and it has been a perfect location for us with the bonus of being able to bring our dog. It's an easy walk into town, great trails to go walk with the dog and hopping on the bus at the end of Gold Flake Terrace to get to the Gondola is a piece of cake. The most recent updates like new carpet upstairs, some fresh paint and some upgraded beds was a nice surprised. It is an older home and some new pots, pans and prep knives are due, but the place is always clean when we arrive and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

I have a lengthy list (in a Word document) of things that you/owners might want to address. Some are quite minor and easily remedied, others are more serious. If you let me know how to get that to you, I will. We would not stay there again until these things are taken care of.
