We celebrated a milestone birthday with family. We had 9 adults and 3 children. The house was perfect! Everyone had their own space and sharing the bathrooms wasn't a problem. There is outdoor spaces for relaxing and visiting all around the house in the backyard. There is a walking trail off the back fence where everyone could go exploring. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with minimum necessities (spices, etc.) There were coffees, teas, hot chocolates, etc. We cooked for the group for 5 nights and had plenty of space to accommodate the crowd. We highly recommend this property for groups wanting to spend quality time together.
Nice getaway with lots of activities, access to lake and close to mountain Shasta and Caves. Even we got "lucky" with rainy weather, we enjoyed our stay.
From grandparents to grandkids, everyone enjoyed our time in Shasta. A great property to keep kids busy while the adults relax! If we’re ever in the area again, I’ll try to book this property!
Our stay was too short but we had a wonderful time. The short walk down to the lake may be too steep for someone with a disability but we all managed fine. Perfect for a large group!
Location was wonderful. The house had plenty of room. The stairs to second floor need to be taken into consideration on where each person in your party should be located. All around great place.
The home was very clean. The host was responsive and accommodating. The large dining room table was perfect and plenty big enough for the seven of us. The property is beautiful and the game room and pool room was lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.
Beautiful home! I found this place to be very clean, organized, comfortable, and perfectly sized for a family gathering. Would definitely book again! Host was very responsive, he checked in with us to make sure we settled in.
location is absolutely beautiful, private cove for swimming and fishing was perfect. The house itself is extremely well kept, plenty of space and amenities for all ages to enjoy themselves but also have there downtime in peace. Cant wait to take the family up and share the good times. Would highly recommend!
Staying at this house made our fishing trip the best! Meg was great and did everything to ensure our stay was awesome. The house is clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. Definitely will be back next year for fishing as well as looking for summer date for the family!
Very nice. Good location. Nice property. Game room was a hit with the kids.
Just what we were looking for, for a small family gathering over 4th of July.
We've had our family vacation (12 of us) at this house for 3 years running. We ALL love it at this house! There's plenty of activities at the house for everyone when we aren't down at the lake or on the boat.
This was the best vacation rental we’ve stayed in. The house is large enough for 8 adults to stay comfortably. It has a cozy rustic vibe and everything was immaculately clean. The kitchen is very well appointed. We wanted for nothing. Plenty of pots, pans and cooking utensils. And they are generous with extras that tide you over if you forget something. There are many places to spend time with family; the deck, the hot tub, the game room. They are very pet friendly. The back yard is fully fenced and the pups had a great time.I could go on and on. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. The Chandler Family
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean, stocked with all the essentials (especially games), and easy to settle into. Morning hikes from the backyard down to the Sacramento River were a treat, and it's a quick drive to some of the best fly-fishing spots in California (swimming holes, too, if fishing isn't your thing). Castle Crags is right up the I5, and Lassen makes a great day trip. Highly recommend staying here.
We stayed here for a week with 13 family members ranging from 2-80 years old and it was perfect. The house was lovely, plenty of space for everyone. The contact with the owner was easy and they were lovely to deal with. The kids loved all of the games in the garage and the backyard. The AC worked great upstairs and downstairs as it was 100+ while we were there. We will definitely stay again when we come back to the Lake.
Amazing house with lots of room to roam inside and out. Well stocked with fun things to do. Lake level was low in mid-September so we could not easily access the lake through the trails. Would definitely rent again, perhaps in spring when lake level rises.
If you are looking for an amazing house in an amazing location with amazing hosts then this property is for you! We had a wonderful time in this home. Not only did we enjoy just relaxing at the house, but there were also lots of fun activities to keep us busy. You will not be bored in this area. Meg and Shail were awesome hosts, they answered my many questions with quick responses not only before we came but once we were there. I would recomend this home to any one wanting an A+ experience.
The Lakehouse served the purpose of our sibling reunion nicely. It had ample room for 9 people to sleep. Just be aware there are only four bedrooms - additional sleeping is in the loft with no privacy. The house has everything you need - ample bath towels, fully equipped kitchen and lots to keep you occupied. We enjoyed ping pong, bocce court and hot tub. The lake is full to the brim this year so we enjoyed a view of the water and a nice path down to the lake edge. Overall a pleasant place to stay.
