Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Not really a “5 Star Experience”
We had a great time on our trip. However, we had a few concerns that we thought other renters may want to be aware of…1. There were a few issues with how clean it was when we came in. Hair in the bathroom, stains on comforter and shower curtain. That kind of thing. 2. The wagon is very difficult to pull…corroded wheels. I basically had to just lift the front end as I pulled to make it work. 3. None of the beach chairs were worth anything. Most of them would just lay flat as soon as you sit back on them. One or two of them would at least hold you at a steep angle, but definitely not worth it. Bring your own chairs! 4. We were supposed to provide our own toilet paper and garbage bags, but this wasn't communicated to us until two hours before check-in. It would have been better to bring them from home than to buy them locally. 5. The ice maker did not work the whole time we were there. So we had to buy ice several times. They had someone come look at it, but nothing was done to accomodate our inconvenience. 6. Since the unit is on the East end of the building where it bends back, half the view from the balcony was of the next building and off the street. The half that showed the beach was nice, but we never did get a chance to hear the waves because all we could ever hear was the splash pad just below. Overall, we did have a great time at the beach. Next time, I think we will find a different place to stay. Also, emailed all of these concerns to owner with no response. :(
