Enjoy a secluded stay in a peaceful country setting. Our modern shipping container home is nestled on a hillside in the corner of our 160 acre farm. This unique space has 2 bedrooms, each bedroom has a queen bed and full closet. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, making it perfect for two couples. The home is complete with a fully stocked kitchen and a bathroom, a commons area and a deck overlooking the countryside. A beautiful 5 min drive from Viroqua and Westby, WI. Two quaint small towns with lots to offer. The Driftless region has a wide variety of year-round outdoors activities to offer. Spend the day trout fishing on nearby streams, biking the Driftless area, canoe the Kickapoo river, or go for a hike at our many parks, and return to the peace and quiet. Enjoy the scenery from the deck or have a bon fire.

We had a wonderful time at the Hidden Hillside Getaway! It is in a quiet, beautiful setting and the inside is so cozy and classy. It was very clean and stocked with all the amenities we needed. We had a question of our host and they responded very quickly. We definitely hope to stay there again sometime.

A little slice of heaven! My husband and I spent 5 nights celebrating our wedding anniversary. This property was the perfect home. Sort of like a tree house experience. Everything was so private with the occasional tractor in the field. Our favorites; hearing the clapping of hooves from the Amish horse and buggy driving by each day, the birds singing, the dead quiet at night, the location of the deck. The summer sun hits the deck around 1:30 so it’s cool when it needs to be and warm/hot at the right time. I highly recommend for relaxing and unplugging from the everyday. We will be back.

Why they chose this property

Our rental is in a peaceful and quiet setting on the back corner of our farm. You get a countryside feel but it is close to 2 quaint towns with great restaurants and grocery options. There is also lots of places to hike, bike, snowshoe or cross country ski in the winter in addition to word class trout streams with in a few miles. There are usually deer in the fields and plenty of birds. You can walk our farm, enjoy the view from the deck or build a bon fire.

What makes this property unique

Our rental is build using 3 refurbished shipping containers together to make a unique 800 sq foot space with a deck. The bedrooms are at each end of the home with the living room and kitchen in the middle giving guests some privacy. We have added a deck Off of each bedroom for some added privacy to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or relaxing and watching the stars at night. Our kitchen is very well stocked with all the conveniences of home.
