Big spacious retreat with a superb private setting in Tahoe Donner. Set on a quiet street with lovely forest views, this custom geo-dome style home has room for everyone. Featuring a a beautifully remodeled interior, and soaring ceilings. Four large bedrooms, including a bonus bedroom, kids area, extra living room downstairs. Updated kitchen, big great room with access to the enormous 900 sq ft deck. Just minutes from downtown Truckee, multiple ski resorts (including Tahoe Donner), Northstar, Lake Tahoe and more!
Disclosure: we have a ring camera doorbell at the front door for security purposes.

Make sure garbage and recycling is disposed of in correct bags and secured in bear box. Detailed instructions in home guide.

This house was fantastic! Plenty of supplies for group, insulation was outstanding, and every room/bathroom was very clean. Considering size, great location, and an accommodating host, couldn’t recommend it enough!

Originally a family reunion but due to circumstances, it was cut short. I filled the gap with senior friends. I learned that adjusting to the altitude was a bit trying at my age. I have had remarkable health but even so, was challenged physically. So, although the home was beautifully equipped, the beds comfortable, the setting wonderful, the weather perfect, There is a reason you do not see many ninety year olds up in the Tahoe area. Having built a home, long ago at Agate Bay, I am familiar with the North Shore. Or so I thought. Much has changed. Certainly the traffic! And, the building up of real estate at this locale. I also want to note that Brenden & Renee were great about checking in & keeping in touch. It proved, even with my own family issues to be a great spot for large groups. I was grateful for the experience but will be heading south for my next adventure. I’d love it if Virgo mentioned that a rental had three flights of stairs & ergo, a possible issue for oldies!

Nice location close to Donner Lake and Truckee

The "large dome home" was a nice place for our family and friends to stay for a post-wedding family vacation. The house had most of the items we hoped for (i.e., large open gathering area, hot tub, fire pit, deck, multiple bathrooms, beds for 4 couples). It also had an outdoor barbecue, extra refrigerator in the basement, and fans to keep the house cool. And we found a hiking trail whose trailhead was only a few blocks from the house and made use of beach chairs, towels, and a cooler that we took to Donner Lake.When we were there, the neighborhood was sparsely occupied and quiet, although the sound of Highway 80 was often audible but not overly so. Also, we experienced relatively cool day and night temperatures. With this said, the house appears to be one of the older ones in the neighborhood and could use some sprucing up. In particular, the carpets are stained, probably from skiers trudging in with boots over the winter, and in need of cleaning or replacement. The layout of the house was a bit odd, at least upstairs, where 2 couples shared a bathroom/shower. To get to the bathroom, 1 of the couples (staying in the adjacent upstairs room) had to go through the entryway to the other couple's room. Although there's a sliding door to provide some privacy, using the shared bathroom/shower required some coordination. For our group, it wasn't a big deal since we're all friends and family, but it could be awkward for other groups.Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
