Recently remodeled and boasting 3000 sq ft, this home offers comfort and serenity. Tucked away in a peaceful cove feeding into Lake Keowee, it’s the perfect escape for nature lovers-especially kayakers.
The property comes fully equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. Please note: Access to the dock involves a very steep descent, and the return hike can be challenging—best suited for active guests.
Clemson University is 16 miles away. We have a 70” TV in the “Clemson” room and a 55” in the living room. Direct tv included and fiber optic high speed internet.
The house comes with many baby friendly essentials and includes a crib, two baby gates, a high chair and child proof locks for the cabinets. Inquire with the owner if you need to borrow a pack n play or any other baby essentials.
The house is on Cane Creek which feeds into Keowee. The path to the dock is very steep! At the dock the water is usually between 6-8’ but the water level fluctuates. The pontoon shown in pics is not for rent. If you have a boat, you’re welcome to tie it up to the side of the dock. If the lake level is low, there are some very shallow spots that can be tough to navigate. There are various boat rentals available on lake keowee.
The nearest boat ramp is seven miles, about a ten min drive. It’s called Cane Creek Landing.
You can swim off the dock however after a rain storm, the water can be murky. We recommend kayaking and swimming near the waterfalls or in deeper water further out in the lake.
One security camera is located on the front of the house facing the driveway.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The location was great, because we were close to lots of hiking trails and waterfalls.
Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner is very responsive to any questions you have. We look forward to staying here again in the future!
Family of 8 adults and 1 infant. We enjoyed our stay. Clean place, areas to hangout, comfortably fit everyone. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals. The hot tub was nice to relax in. Beds were comfortable and it really helped us that there was a crib and changing table.
The house was great for us, but if your main goal was to come and have a water front house you can swim at you might not want this one because the water was shallow and murky around the boat dock. We had another house where we swam at. They do have kayaks and SUP boards, we kayaked to a few water falls that were close by and we had a blast. It was a real adventure.
The host was a great and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Keowee is a beautiful lake. We caught a lot if fish!

I live near downtown Greenville, SC with my husband and two small children. We enjoy staying active and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking or anything that is outdoors.
My husband is from the Seneca, SC area and is a huge Clemson fan. I’m from Rochester, NY-Go Bills!
I also manage a home in downtown Travelers Rest on the Swamp Rabbit trail.
Feel free to reach out to me with questions. I’d be happy to provide local tips if you’re staying at either the West Union or Travelers Rest house!
