Victorian era Mississippi riverview retreat.

LOTS of space for your family or friends! This 4 bedroom, 2 bath house can accommodate up to 8 adults. Close to great dining down the street ( The Golden Frog and Lilly Pad are just a few steps out the front door. A few other restaurants are just a few additional steps away) and public boat landings. Public hunting land and 2 state parks nearby. A short 4 mile drive to Mississippi Thunder Speedway. 15 minutes drive to Winona MN. 20 minutes to Arcadia. The National Eagle Center is about 25 minutes away. Located on a dead end street with very minimal traffic for a good night sleep. Riverview from the yard provides a great opportunity to watch boats travel or just admire the color of trees changing in the fall. The back yard boasts plenty of room for yard games. (Ie, ladder toss or bags) Bring your own steak (and coal) for a cookout on the charcoal grill. Like to hike? Perrot and Merick state parks are short drive to some of the best outdoor areas around. We had a wonderful time in Fountain City.. Greg’s Place was clean and spacious for our group of 6.. the house was cool and quirky and within walking distance to everything we needed.. we recommend the Golden Frog and The Landing and the huge patio at the Lily Pad.. the house had plenty of towels, bedding etc.. also only 15 minutes from our family in Winona that we were visiting

Enjoyed the stay with my family. We wished for one more queen bed but totally made it work. I wanted to make mention of a large bee hive in the furnace room door way & many bee’s throughout the stay but darn nature is my attitude. Also both back doors definitely need attention the way the close or don’t close. Overall had a great time & thank you so much.

Stayed here for funeral in Winona. Great house walking distance to a few places to eat. Great view of the river. Could use another shower in the upstairs bathroom, but our teenage daughter really loved the tub.

Great spot for family during college move in week.

This was a great spot for our family of 6 to home base out of during college move in week. Plenty of space for the teens to separate when needed, but have dinner and hang out at other times. Fountain City is a cute little river town with some food, drinks, and a Kwik trip for essentials. Property was clean and well stocked, comfortable home away from home. Would definitely stay again.
