The house had a really pretty river you could walk down to and enjoy. The house was very clean and pet friendly. Very quiet and great if you like to be a little off the beaten path.
This home was incredibly secluded and the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. We were so impressed with the story behind this place. We felt such a sense of family and loved the home as if it was our own. We will forever be looking for doves in every white pine we see. Thanks for the wonderful memories

River cabin
With some effort, this would be an amazing property.
We enjoyed our short stay. It was very quiet and relaxing which is what we needed. Only issue was that we were hoping to do some fishing but my husband is mildly handicapped so no way he could get down to the river to fish. We enjoyed listening to the river from the porch though.

The house was lovely and clean. The ad was completely misleading. Though a "legal" description of property was accurate, it was misleading and, when i called for details, got short answers... not completely preparing us for the terrain. We are in our 60s and drive a little Nissan. It was a struggle to get through gravel road to AND up hill to home. YES, house was near river with access to river but not unless you were in amazong shape. It was dangerous to walk to river and "access" was a ROPE. What a joke. Anyway, we made the best of it and truly enjoyed the house. It was really nice to stay in Shirl's cabin. Thank you. P.S. you could have left an extra roll of toulet paper.
Cabin was within yards of the Flat Shoals River. Though difficult to get diwn the bank to fish, we enjoyed being near the river. The outside of the cabin needed some cleaning. I thought they could have blown off the porch and rear covered patio area. The locking mechanisms for the sliding screen and sliding door in the master bedroom were set so the doors couldn't be locked. I had to use tools to fix the mechanisms so they could be locked. That should have been checked before we arrived. The inside was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.
Amazing place to stay. Quiet in private access nice and the river was amazing

Beautiful property but poorly ran management company
The property was beautiful but we had no water while we where there. When I reached out to management company they did not apologize or offer to comp us anything for not having water during the stay. I will post screen shots of messages between us. Yes, I should have reached out sooner but as you will see by my messages we did not arrive to the property till late on Friday and had to be out early Saturday to pick up a rental boat. Once out of the property and while on the lake all day I did not have reception to message the property management company. Once I did early the next morning by phone and email, I received an email back from them at check out time. We where already leaving when we received the email.
You would think they would at least be apologetic and try to comp a few dollars but instead they insinuated I was lying to them because I did not message them sooner. I understand I should have but under circumstances and location and not having service it was not possible till Sunday morning. She said there was water when the cleaners arrive but that’s impossible because we barely had a trickle of water to do dishes before we left.
