Coaches loved the space, the ability to get together for meals, and the overall feel was just what they needed! Will recommend and look forward to staying again in future!
We loved our stay! It felt just like home! The highland cows were so freaking cute! Loved being able to watch them! Relaxing, fun area to stay! Anita was awesome to work with! Thanks!
The house was beautiful and the property was serene. Anita stayed in contact with me and made sure we had everything we needed. There were plenty of appointments on site and everything was well labeled. We will be travelling back there in a couple of months and will definitely stay again.
First off, my wife and i rarely say we'd stay in the same vacation home twice. We 100% would come back and stay here! We loved the front and back decks with comfy furniture, as well as the beautiful views of Grand Mesa. The beds and couches were also extra comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked (biggie for me).
Anita and her staff are fabulous as well. The one issue we had was handled quickly and efficiently. 10/10 recommend!
Picky little thing, shortage of toilet paper in two bathrooms!
The location was beautiful as were the accommodations. We were there mostly to sleep and have coffee on the deck in the morning. Two of our adult children and their spouses were there with us. We spent our days with my brother who lives 8 miles away and who turned 90. His party was at his home. The shortage of TPcreated lots of laughs!
Nothing less than an excellent experience. The house is immaculate, with all the extras for a family. High chair, family games, small toys, books and a pack n play. The kids loves the bunk room. Everything is well labeled, plenty of room and very clean. The kids loves the cows, horses on property and Mom loved the quiet mornings with coffee on the porch. We saw cranes, crickets, heard elk, saw a bear and plenty of stars. Will be back!
Loved the property and the space and openness. A working event that proved to also be an incredible getaway! Could not have been happier and will be going back with my colleagues or just my family.
Came to Collbran to turkey hunt and could not have been happier with decision to book this property. I have the house booked again in November for another hunting trip. The house manager was great. Looking forward to staying here again.

Why they chose this property
We discovered the ranch after a decade serving overseas, planning and saving for our dream retirement home. We found this home and fell in love, and look forward to the day we can eventually be there full-time and watch our son grow up in Collbran, such a friendly, down-to-earth and wholesome town. When we are home, the ranch serves as our getaway from where we are stationed on the eastern seaboard and lets us reconnect with our family nearby.
What makes this property unique
We were drawn to the beautifully constructed log home and the soaring ceilings, but we definitely fell in love with the land first, which is uniquely situated in a lush valley with two natural springs and Buzzard Creek supplying abundant water to its pasture. This creates ample opportunities for raising livestock and (eventually) pursuing our dream of creating a market farm and orchard using sustainable farming methods. We were attracted to its close proximity to town, even though the property still is quiet and secluded - two things which are not often found together.
