Overall it was a great stay. There is some deferred maintenance on the property, especially on the stairs leading to the sitting area by the river. You really have to watch your step. The view was perfect.Thank you.
The living space is super basic, but very clean, and the views up and down the river are absolutely spectacular! Simple checkin and checkout, very Montana!
Really beautiful location. Roomy space with 3 bedrooms. Kitchen/dining room/entrance is spacious and comfortable! Great communication with owner. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you for your review! You are welcome back anytime also!
Lodging was beautiful and clean! The property manager was super helpful! Only drawback was no Wi-Fi and our cell data was blocked inside so no phone calls, texting and no cable.
Was a little far from Yellowstone but beautiful countryside accommodations. Also the Grizzly Bar and Grill was AMAZING next door. A large kitchen island would be a very nice addition. Path to lower entrance could be improved!
Great location , but the communication could’ve been better. The lack of Kleenex definitely annoyed my wife, and the fact there isn’t a rocks glass made my bourbon an adventure. Bring your own grill utensils as well.
Great location. Pretty dirty. We spend countless weekends and time in Montana. I was let down to be honest. Love to utilize options in the area. Never had an issue like this. But we will not be back. Amazing views though.

We are shocked at this review. We wish you would have mentioned something to us about being unhappy during your stay or at arrival. Can you elaborate on what exactly the issues were?
Beautiful home with matching view of river and mountains. It was more than what I expected. Home is roomy and in excellent conditions. Great getaway which created lasting memories. Many thanks for making your home available.

Fly fishing dream
If you are going to do nothing but fly fish and hang out this house is perfect. Make sure you bring all your food and entertainment because it’s 30 min from a store in both directions. Other than that it was a beautiful view and very quiet.

Just FYI for the future- All of the windows actually do open! They are lever locked crank windows- old fashion Montana style!
Thank you for your review though, We may need to put window opening instructions in the profile!
The house is amazing. We could never get on the wifi and the television doesn’t have any stations, but we weren't there for the technology. However it would have been nice to relax on the couch every once in awhile.
The check out proceedures were never disclosed and there are no mops and brooms so left it aa clean as we could.
We absolutely love this place though and would definitely stay there again
Path to the lower unit is dangerous. Uneven with loose grave and rocksl. Concern regarding egress if a fire. Bedrooms only escape is through the window well which is 5 feet below the surface with a heavy metal grate cover. There was a problem with the water at the kirchen sink which the manager resolved the next day. Bed frame in the master bedroom squeaked. Location is excellent for fishing the Madison in the wade section.
Beautiful property however fireplace was not working, WiFi was not working and there was no cell coverage in the home. It would have been helpful to know that it was not available before reservations were made.
Stayed in lower unit of house. Pathway down to lower section is dirt & gravel and can be slippery. Propane fireplace stopped working
( out of gas?). Clothes dryer was not working.

Communications in advance were less than other rentals. The information in the coms and online included no information on WiFi and password. Cell service was minimal or not existent at times which made getting this information more difficult. There was no welcome book or information in the unit which would have addressed this. Unit was for sale and exterior deck and patio were not clean. Animal crap every where - some makes sense in this area but this was neglect in my opinion. Location was great for us and made a great fishing base. Adjacent restaurant was closed and did not honor their posted hours but I know that is not in hosts control. Good welcoming information within the unit could have addressed so many of these comments.

It was abysmal, would not recommend to my friends in the future
1 The main door opens even after locking it.
2 The heaters are not working for 2 bedrooms and the dinning room as well.
3 We are out of toilet papers and kitchen towels and don’t have extra rolls. We can buy it but no stores nearby.
4 The hand wash is watery and no foam comes out.
5 Hot water is not sufficient for 6 of us. It gets over after 2 people takes the bath.

Not as excellent as we hoped it would be
We had 7 guests staying here, and everyone said that the beds were uncomfortable. The property says that a TV is available. But the TV is useless because it has no cable or no antenna so it can't be used at all. The front door lock was very hard to use and we had a hard time entering the house when we first got there. Every time you walk outside the door locks on you. It was very frustrating. There is also no internet and it's very hard to use your cell phones.
Starting off with all of the positives. The property was super clean and the views are spectacular with access down to the Madison River. Close to Wade/Cliff Lake, West Yellowstone or Ennis. The beds and bedding were super comfortable.
The negatives are, I didn’t have great communication with the host even when I asked a question two weeks before we checked in and a question about how to use the fireplace, which is the primary heating source for the main living area. The house is very cold (64 degrees) because it does not have a central heating system. Each bedroom and bathroom has its own separate in wall heaters but the kitchen, dining and living are heated by the electric fireplace, which there are no instructions and when I requested information I never heard back. There was a renter staying above us who was very nice, but you could hear every step he made in the unit so that’s something to be aware of. I read all the reviews and was aware of the hot water issues. We made sure not to run two showers at the same time or any other water in the house, and we still would have bouts of cold water in the middle of a shower. No one took showers longer than five minutes just to make sure all 6 of us had an opportunity for warm water. The path down to the second level is dirt and rocky definitely something that you would need to be aware of if you’re unstable or elderly. There’s no Wi-Fi so don’t plan to watch the TV. The house is for sale so that might factor in..
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was easy to access from the main road, making our arrival stress-free. The lower level was spacious, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing together. The views were absolutely breathtaking and exactly what we needed for a quiet getaway. The cabin was exceptionally clean and fully stocked with everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. The kids especially loved the multi-use pool table, it kept them entertained for hours! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing family retreat.
